if calzaghe came to america earlier & beat roy, bhop, & toney in their primes he'd be a all time great.

dont matter if he's from wales or america.

Not even close and its laughable that people across the pond think Americans are that biased. His resume isn't that great and probably wouldn't even be very popular over here even if he was American. That be said he would of probably had to fight Roy and Bhop before he did in real life so he probably wouldn't of had a 46-0 record. Calzaghe is not popular here because he never came across the pond to very late and he beat guys we never heard of, he wouldn't be popular here.

Well it didn't matter who Calzaghe fought for you in his title run against D Level Competition and your still on his nuttsack. He could have fought a blind guy, and you would still be on Zaghes sack. Berto is fighting C level Competition at least. And it does matter what belt you have because i rather have a title run for ten years with a WBC belt then a WBO belt. ALL DAY ANYDAY.

Yes because he would of fought better competition, also he would be much more known if he was an American. Some people forget how hard it is to for boxers to travel across the pond.

So? Calzaghe has numerous Good no1 contenders on his resume, most of them are even American.

              Mitchell
              Brewer
              Lacy
              Ried
              Woodhall

hell throw in seasoned Champions like Eubank, Hopkins, RJJ, Kessler

Holy ****... thats 9 world champions right there!!! Not to mention Bika should have been a world champion, but for cheating German judges.

kinda a reverse Khan situation in that fight.

Just for the record I wonder if those complaining about Calzaghe and teh WBO belt know who held the major belts at that time.

Wearing a WBC belt will ensure that you will have to fight better comp than the WBO.
