The Marquez fight isn't selling because people don't know who Marquez is...add in the fact the **** is on PPV for some ****** reason and Marquez is at a disadvantage

I wish that was the case. I went to the fight. Odds favored Floyd pretty heavily. I wanted to place a bet but it wasn't even worth it. Also I don't think the issue is just that Floyd did better numbers than Manny against Oscar. I think the problem is that Floyd did better numbers than anyone ever against Oscar or anyone else for that matter. Its hard to convince a guy that was a part of the biggest grossing fight in boxing history to take a 50/50 split. With that said I think he should take 50/50.

I recall Floyd closing at -225, opening at -200. Oscar opening +150 closing +175. To me that's pretty close. Oscar was a slightly heavier favourite vs. Pacman.

I know Oscar was a bigger favorite vs Pac. I just wish the Floyd fight was closer to even so I could lay down some money. It cost $100 to get into the clubs after the fight!!

tbh the elites at 140 except for the top guy is fighting each other.

everyone were fighting each other except hatton.

now everyone is still fighting each other (campbell-bradley is coming up) though the champ at that division (pac) probably ain't never fighting at 140 again.

Campbell Bradley is the most signifigant fight in the division in awhile, like i said, pac has no intention of staying in it. But i am saying, 140 really hurt mayweathers career because the circumstances involving the division. Thats the one place i can say where people were openly ducking him. 147 is a different story.

True. 24/7 helps Mayweather a lot too because he actually goes out and sells the fight by being outspoken and talking trash to generate a bot of interest. I really don't think Pac need a 4 episode 24/7, he just need a countdown that shows his highlight reel and gives some perspective on the fight. In Pac's case I think 24/7 reminds people to buy the fight. In Floyd case 24/7 helps sell the fight.

HBO needs to show replays of previous fights outside of hbo.

they should go in business with espn , fox sports or someone and have them show previous fights of the fighters in the upcoming cards.

that'll be more effective than 24/7 tbh. a lot of people don't have hbo.

make a deal with a basic cable channel to show those replays.
