If it wasn't for the round robin format, I don't think you could get anyone to participate.
Fighters in top positions would fear leaving the tourney because of a lucky punch.

Next time instead of putting thousands of man hours in and spending millions of dollars they should just call you and save themselves all this time, money and effort.

There's always some who thinks they can do something better. Instead of wasting your time on complaining and looking for faults, thank these people for having the foresight to make something like this happen.

By the way I'm not selling anything and for that matter neither are you and it looks af if the showtime people think exactly like me, lets thank God for that.

Como dicen en mi pais a este cabron si se lo meten grita y si se lo sacan llora.
Yeah because the powers that be i.e. showtime, hbo, espn, the promoters have done so much to better boxing over the last 20 years. You are a sucker.

A lucky punch? Is there such a thing when fighters of this magnitude are matched? What you call a lucky punch I call a KO which is part of boxing.

aye, thats why I think the fighters preferred it like this. theres always a chance for redemption.

I think overall the 8 man tourney would have more success with the lesser fans, but you couldnt really get all those fighters to sign up without guarenteed paydays and chances to save themselves after a loss.

hey, as long as it works out fine and exists, Im happy.

Styles make fights, like JT's gassing at the end of every fight?

            3 Europeans vs 3 Americans.

            Best of both Worlds.

Man, I'm not even sure this six-man tourney is going to work and we're trying to get two more fighters? Not a chance.

IMO - No. But I'm no pro boxer. If I was, and I believed I was the best in the world, it would be my only and biggest fear.

Yeah there is no way in hell an 8 man Tournament works, this tournament is gonna take 2 years plus as it is with the finalists having had 5 fights by the end. If they put on an 8 man Tournament, people would be retiring midway through it would take so long.

The 8 man concept would single elimination and would take no more than 10 months tops.

                    4 fights

                    4 months later

                    2 fights

                    4 months later

                    Finals

I even think the 4 months maybe a little long by i won't nitpick

i dislike it, but for different reasons. I look at the lower end fighters in the tournament, not froch, abraham or kessler, but the rest, and im thinking 'you could end up with 4 losses on your record by the end of this.' It could destroy the careers of several of these fighters. imagine if Dirrell has a war with Froch in the first fight (not inconceivable, most of froch's fights seem to end up this way) gets beaten and then has to bounce straight into a fight with Taylor or Kessler, loses again. he's gone from undefeated to shot in 2 fights.

Plus the obvious problems of sanctioning bodies, the fact that fighters will be ignoring mandatorys and possibly dropping titles all over the place. Im not saying its not a good idea, i think it is, and im very much looking forward to watching it. Im just wondering if everyones thought through all the potential problems
