Chico vs Arturo would have topped them all

Both fighters would've died from the sheer enkillenation. Everyone from the judges up till the 7th row would've died as well from the shock and horror and radiation sickness.
Last shot filmed by the HBO crew would show Lampley disembowling himself center ring with a samurai sword, Merchant shooting himself in the prostate with a .357 Magnum over a ring card girl while groping her breasts and Max attempting to slit his wrists, VERTICALLY with Merchant's razor sharp dentures.
Everyone else in the arena would lapse into lifetime lasting comas. All who watched the fight live on TV would suffer PTSD, depression, flashbacks, hallucinations and fall into despair.
77% of TV viewers would commit suicide by the first year anniversary of the fight.
The 23% hapless souls who were incapable of suicide would live lone, solitary lives. Society would cast them out for not doing the only humane thing after witnessing such a perverse, inhumane display.
Pariahs they would become... Driven mad by despair they would wander the lands not living but rather enduring in some vain attempt at reconciliation with existence itself. There's would be a story of darkness and doubt till the end of their days.
"And lo the boxing fan looked upon the Coralles-Gatti fight. And from that day forth... He was as one dead."
lmfaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

you have me in tears

Gatti does have the proverbial puncher's chance, but I see Corrales's overall superiority just being too much for Gatti. The thing about Gatti going to war is, he didn't win any against a puncher like Corrales, who not only had a lot of power, but also quick hands/combos and much straighter punches than Gatti. Gatti could actually have success boxing and using his legs against Corrales, I think that would be in his best interest, but once he gets tagged, he goes to war. And that's where the more accurate short shots of Corrales would be too much for him.I don't see it as a one sided fight. As chinny as Chico was, Gatti would've had the power to hurt him at any point in the fight. I would have loved to see this fight happen in '98 or '99 at 135. Boxers gave Gatti trouble and while Chico could box, he'd much rather go to war. That is when Gatti always had his greatest advantage, in a shootout. It would have been a great fight for as long as it lasted, another FOTY, guaranteed.
Plus, at 135 around this time, Gatti was at a low point in his career with too much drugs and alcohol and not enough training.Comment
