An ATG gaurenteed. In the top 10 not so much. His resume is unbelievable. The only knock I have on him is that he kept beating undersized opponents with big names like Trinidad, Pavlik, Wright, De La Hoya, etc. When the biggest challenge of his aging career came around in Dawson he wouldn't take it.

Dude, the NC came when MILLS LANE pushed bhop out of the ring and bhop got fucked up, it was a freak accident and was correctly ruled a NC. And what draw occured during his streak? oh that's right, he didn't have one. His ONLY draw in his entire career came against the first fight against Segundo Mercado, which was prior to bhop becoming champ.

        Get your facts straight comrade.

The losses to Taylor 2X, Calzaghe, and Jones represented his signature fights where he was evenly matched imo and he lost all of 'em.

doesn't matter. it still affects his streak. a NC is a NC.

as far as the draw. that's how his title reign began.

a draw with mercado and a win in the rematch to get his precious vacant belt.

technically not part of his defense streak but part of his run as a champion.

i know my facts. it's up to you bhop defenders to elaborate on it.

you idiots have absolutely no perspective, probably because none of you truly followed hopkins career.

Before beating trinidad, hopkins had a very hard time getting fights. He had a reputation of someone no one wanted to do business with. Hopkins fought the establishment in boxing, first suing Butch Lewis because he was only paid $250,000 out of $1 million for his fight with Roy Jones, then sued America Presents for breach of contract and he fought anyone and everyone who he thought did him dirty. As a result, it was difficult for hopkins to land bigger fighters. Don King had Holmes, Joppy and Trinidad under promotional contracts, hopkins wasn't even in the picture to fight any of these guys until king put together the middleweight tournament, which he foolishly thought Tito would win easily.

NC is no contest, it doesn't count as a fight for good reasons. It does not effect your streak. Did you watch the fight? It was a freak accident.

as far as the draw. that's how his title reign began.
How can a title reign begin WHEN HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE THE TITLES!!?!?!? LOL

The Mercado fight was for a vacant belt. They get a draw. Neither man owns the belt. They fight again, hopkins wins. That's when hopkins becomes champ. every fight AFTER that is his successful defenses of the belt.

Why is that so hard for you to understand??

Actually those aren't his signature fights. Trinidad, Oscar, Winky, Pavlik, Glen Johnson, etc.

So what the man lost a few times. He was 43 years old against Calzaghe and 40 years old against Taylor. It's not like he got his ass kicked and each and everyone of those fights besides Roy Jones were highly debated, i.e extremely close fights. That says something.

Everyone loses a few times and most everyone that fights into their 40's gets KO'd or embarrassed. Neither has happened to bhop.
