Floyd doesn't make bigger men drain down..he fights them as they are.
true but he makes the smaller guys move up in weight to fight him.

because Marquez and Mab will definitely be ranked higher than Oscar historically.

When you say legend do you mean popularity?

Also oscar was never the number 1 guy at 154 when floyd beat him.

He may have been the most recognized fighter in the division but he certainly wasnt number 1. coming off a lost to hopkins then going to 154 to beat mayorga.

mayorga a fighter that was not even in the top 5 of 154 when oscar beat does not make you the number 1 guy in the division.
No way did you just make that statement.

Moving up in weight isn't as bad as draining...dummy.

Floyd doesn't care what his opponents weigh...his skills overcome weight.

Cotto is fighting a guy that was a featherweight last year..WHERE'S THE HATE FOR HIM?

        Hmmmm.

        You're a lousy hypocrite.

aah young boy, pacquiao has fought at 140 and even 147 before, marquez has never ventured past 135. that should be a good enough answer.

OK if that is the case, then how come Pacquiao can't fight Cotto
at 147? But instead wants Cotto to drop down to 143/44 even
after they went with 145? Floyd moved up to 154 and fought
Oscar who weighed 160 on fight night when Floyd weighed 148?
Paquiao was weighing more than Oscar in their fight? If Pacquiao
is much greater than Floyd how come he can't compete at 147?

                1. Sounds like an excuse to me. In Manny's fight with David Diaz
Manny weighed 146 lbs in a Lightweight fight.

2.Pacquiao was a 2-1 underdog, largely because he was challenging a man who had fought at super welterweight or middleweight exclusively for the last seven-and-a-half years. Pacquiao had only fought once as high as lightweight and had fought 75 percent of his bouts before Saturday at super bantamweight or lower.

But Pacquiao unofficially weighed a pound-and-a-half more than De La Hoya – 148½ to 147 – and was clearly stronger and better Saturday.

The sun is rising on the Manny Pacquiao era atop the boxing world as it sets for Oscar De La Hoya.
