and as far as floyd taking longer than pac to beat hatton and de la hoya...de la hoya was in horrible shape...and hatton was any fighters dream that night...no defense at all...anyone in the top 10 could have ko'ed his ass with the quickness...and it's pretty obvious that floyd was playing with hatton damn near the entire fight...he knocked him out when he wanted to...no luck in that one...and i stand with the belief that he didn't want to knock hatton out...but he kept pushing his hand with the pushing and flurry punches...floyd decided to make it an early night somewhere around the middle of the 8th round...

The outcome of this fight is completely irrelevant unless JMM wins, in which he will become an unquestioned ATG and Manny will be elevated even further. A Floyd win means nothing because he is making a junior lightweight with one fight at lightweight move all the way to welterweight. Manny fought the man twice at his absolute best.

Agreed. I guess threads like these keep getting made until Mayweather Pac fight.

OK, then I'll find out the weigh ins on fight night but I'm sure
Floyd was 148 and Oscar was 160. I just can't find it but will.

I don't see why Mayweather fans would be threatened. lol.

I mean I'm not a direct fan of either.

But looking at the Paper I think Floyd just kicks his ass if they fight.

It should be the other way around IMO

So if Marquez beats Floyd then he will get props but if Floyd beats
Marquez he won't because he made Marquez move up from Light Weight?
What sense does that make? How do you know that JMM won't be his
best at 144? Sounds to me like your making excuses on why to not
give Floyd his props. Nothing to do with JMM or Pacquiao.

I know Marquez won't be his best because the jump from 130 to 135 for the fight against Diaz clearly slowed him down and made him worse, so jumping two divisions certainly won't help, especially against a fighter as fast as Mayweather. There is absolutely no way this can be used as a comparison as far as who was more impressive against JMM.
