There is absolutely no way this can be used as a comparison as far as who was more impressive against JMM.
I hear you but you should also take into consideration that Marquez
KO'd both Casamayor and Diaz at that weight and those were two
guys that have never been KO'd prior to JMM doing it. Marquez hit
Manny multiple times and couldn't even drop him at his best weight
but moves up and KO's two naturally bigger men? I think at any
Weight Floyd beats Marquez but that's just my opinion. By your
analogy, that would mean that Manny shouldn't get any props for
making Cotto move down considering he has fought at 147 before
and 140 prior? Manny should be able to carry the weight effectively.
Marquez ain't beefing about moving up for the challenge but Manny
is beefing about moving up to meet Cotto at a weight he has fought
before? Clearly Freddie Roach and Manny want a handicap on Cotto.

Pac has definitely fought the tougher competition in his career, and suffered losses along the way while beating LEGENDS such as Barrera, Morales, and JMM.

Mayweather's competition isn't as impressive but he has won rather easily with the exception of the Castillo fights, going undefeated to this point.

Neither fighter should get a ton of credit for beating De La Hoya, as he was clearly washed up when fighting both. Pac should definitely get more credit for destroying Hatton at his best weight, whereas Hatton was a much less effective 147 against Mayweather.

This argument will hopefully be settled in the ring sometime soon, so until then who is considered better comes down to personal preference.
        Great post bro...

If Manny fights Cotto at less than 145, than it will take quite a bit from a potential victory. At 145, if Pac wins, its not like people will call him the best welterweight(except for extreme Manny fans) but it will be a very impressive win. It is a shame Manny won't fight Cotto at 147 but it is likely to take place at 145, which is a nice middle of the road weight between the two.

Manny Pacquiao should be fighting Miguel Cotto at 147 like he did
against Oscar De La Hoya. Manny weighed 148 and Oscar weighed
147 on fight night and was strong and fast as usual. Freddie and
Manny is trying to steal a win. I don't think 145 will hurt Cotto
but anything more will. In regards to JMM/PBF I would say that
they are about even considering that Floyd is coming off 2 years
of inactivity and fighting at 144.
