With Kessler bandwagon gaining speed I wonder if like the Pavlik bandwagon the wheels will come undone and the so called fans find the next bandwagon to jump on.

Calzaghe would have ko'ed Kessler when he hurt him with a bodyshot if the ref didn't make this terrible call.
In the end of the day Calzaghe gave Kessler a boxing lesson and won the fight clearly, even thought he was 35 and past prime.
I like Mikkel and hope he will learn his lesson from the beating Calzaghe gave him.

if kessler beats all those guys he'll have a very good resume, and could even improve it depending on what he does after.

And that makes Joe's win over Kessler even better, and in 10 years when people are talking about who the best SMW ever was, Joe or Kessler - the last sentence of that argument will be Joe beat Kessler. Pretty easily.

You must see something in Kessler that i dont, because i dont think he is capable of beating all of those fighters.

How can you blame Kessler for that? Seriously, sometimes you really miss. Kessler have been calling all the big names out for over 6 months now, he's being avoided, plus his promoter his keeping him in chains. It has nothing to do with Mikkel Kesslers willingness to fight.

What 'close fight'? It was certainly a hard fight but unless required by the original contract you only tend to see rematches when the result was disputed.. and nobody seriously claims that Kessler should have won.

Kessler will never surpass Calzaghe's record simply because he lost what would be the defining fight in both their careers. With both at their prime, they fought and JC won. End of.

Prime Calzaghe would have won this tourney without breaking sweat. If he was ever going to lose, it would have been to B-Hop (or Dawson) at LHW.

I remember that fight (Calzaghe-Kessler) like it was yesterday...

Kessler hung in there a little with the overrated veteran for the first half and then resorted to looking for one right hand the rest of the fight...like a true, limited amateur.

lol...iirc...he also winced from a slap to the body..

                      Man that Kessler is awesome.
