I don't think so. He is just being more aggressive to give a more fan-friendly type of fight. It boosts his appeal more but at the same time he gets hit more. There is always a trade-off. I think he did the changes to ensure he will not lose again on inactivity.

I prefer his current style more.

Everything else I kind of agree with. I don't think Marquez is slipping though, Pacquiao is the P4P #1 and he had a really close fight with him even though I agree he lost. And having a competitive fight with Juan Diaz is nothing to be ashamed of either.

Well from what i remember Casa was making it very diffitcult for him untill the KO, i cant remember if he scored a KD before the KO to earn a 10/8 but there is no question about it imo that Casa was having his moments in the fight

At best Casa was down 6 rounds to 4 going into the 11th. Marquez was really starting to pull away and outclass Casa in the final rounds.

diaz is a hell of a fighter tho...but JMM was picking his shots in that fight landing the cleaner blows.

if he lose's to floyd i wouldn't say he on the slide

but if he lose's to someone his own size (and i mean badly) then he might be going down hill

Possibly, its been ages since i watched it so......

Casamayor deffo gave him trouble early in the fight though did'nt he?

              Total punches

              Casa thrown 552, landed 122

              Marquez thrown 516, landed 160

              Not much in it.

ha, as if excuses where needed in this fight. there is a reason this fight isn't selling out.

77-75 for Marquez. Max DeLuca had it 77-75 for Diaz, and Levi Martinez had it 76-76. Yahoo! Sports had it 77-75 for Diaz

An old shot Casamayor was outboxing him early on.

Manny Pacquiao had him on the canvas AGAIN!! and i actually thought he won the fight this time, not to say i thought he lost the 1st but i thought this was more convincing.
casamayor wasnt shot and old against katsidis but because he lost against jmm he is
jmm is the best at adapting to different styles and he showed that against diaz and casamayor
diaz is still young and of course had more energy and on top of that he is a pressure fighter with pretty good speed but jmm's experience and counter punching was the difference in the fight
now against manny well he WAS fighting one of the best boxers p4p
