Oh lets not forget that the promoters(the only slugs on the planet that are even more disgusting than boxing fans) are the ones making the lions share of you precious dinero.
Do you think the money the fighters get paid comes straight out of the promoters pocket ? or from HBO?
Lions share of what they make comes off people like mangler.

Haha then u should stop watching sports because when the tough get's going your fav teams and players should just quit and call it a day because you dont pay his full salary...seriously you have a ***** mentality. Like mangler said i respect cotto and morales cause they went balls out they knew enough was enough he still had a chance to win but gave up when it got tough. He took all the cred when it went well but when it didnt he quit

It's one thing to put on a good give and take boxing match which the ortiz fight was but if he feels he can't go on then who the *** cares. Big deal he didn't wanna get hurt I can almost guerentee that 99.9% of all the posters on this board have quit somthing in their lives at one time or another so hooray he's just like the rest of us!

Its not just what fans expect either.
Guys like Morales could box but he wanted to fight majority of the time.
Fighters themselves have their own preconceived ideas of what they expect of themselves. Barrera and Morales fought the way they did because of pride not just money.
Nothing wrong with quitting but only when you have given your best (100%)
Nobody likes a quitter in life in general much less so in a competitive Sporting environment.
