Will Marquez do better than Hatton did?

Marquez is better technically then Hatton but he doesn't have the size.
He is gonna be fighting a guy who's been at welterweight for five years now and is well adjusted to the weight.
One thing you forget is that it was Hatton's aggresive man handling style that gives and gave Mayweather problems, Marquez isn't that type of fighter.
I don't think I've ever seen Mayweather in with a real counterpuncher like Marquez though.Comment

he will do better in the sense that he wont get picked apart and nailed coming in like hatton was
as far as lasting longer or whatever, im not sure
if floyd opens up and goes after JMM, he could stop him, diaz had JMM wobbled and he isnt as powerful as floyd
but thats not really floyds style, and he will be wary enough of JMM's countering and smarts not to do that until later in the fight, i think he stops JMM late or takes a decisionComment

You have to ask yourself is Marquez the best skilled fighter Floyd has ever faced? What happens if the weight really doesn't matter? Then Marqez should have a decent chance at winning let alone put up a fight. He'll be competitive.
The only way Floyd can beat Marquez is by opening up...this might actually end up being a great fight. If Marquez can take Floyd's punches then how is he not going to win rounds? I do think either way Floyd will land at a very high percentage as usual, but he'll have to trade a lot more than he's used to.Comment
