Will Marquez do better than Hatton did?

I think that Mayweather's KO victory over Ricky Hatton helped to erase the images of how uncomfortable Hatton had Mayweather in the early rounds. Ricky had some very quick speed and was sometimes catching Mayweather as Floyd went straight back. I gave him a few rounds up until he got stunned in the 7th.

My question is: Will Marquez be able to have Floyd uncomfortable, squirming? Will he be at least able to confuse Mayweather with his style? Personally, I think he'll give a better account of himself than Hatton did.. I could see him landing some great counters and having Floyd a little gun shy, early on.

    What do you guys think?

Im not sure, Hatton fought probably his best fight in his loss to floyd, however a lot depends on how the layoff has affected pbf, basically i dont know

Hatton had a good gameplan...Floyd was just too accurate.

JMM will be target practice..I dont see JMM wining a round.

Even I was surprised at how well he fought, early on. Floyd looked sloppy and off balance for a while there.

That was the best Hatton ever fought imo, all downhill from there though

its hard to tell really styles make fights and that, marquez wont walk onto shots like hatton but he wont pressure mayweather like hatton did so i think it will be a 12 round chess match with floyd winning 117-111

lol at no. in reality EVERYONE (i guess aside from fanboys) knows jmm is superior to ricky. jmm's style doesnt feed into pbfs opportunist strategy as hattons did. jmm doesnt waste punches AND puts steam on a great deal of his shots, at the VERY LEAST jmm takes it 12...although im certain jmm is looking for the KO.

                ^^^^^^^^

Yeah obviously Jmm is better than Hatton, and he COULD do better but i doubt it somehow

I guess I'm alone in thinking Hatton didn't do that well against Floyd. When I watched it live I was caught up in the hype, and the people around me cheering Hatton on, and thought he was really doing well. But after re-watching several times, I realized that he was doing as well as I initially thought.

JMM does much better than Hatton, imo.
