Paul Williams left 147 and vacated his belt because NO ONE wanted
to fight him and prior to him leaving Paul and his people called out
Cotto after he KO'd Quintana in the rematch. Now I wouldn't believe
that Cotto would come back after the Margarito loss and fight Williams.
Mosley has Cotto's belt because Mosley ANNIHILATED Margarito the guy
that beat and won it from Cotto so it's officially Mosley's belt. Didn't
know if a fighter gets beat and his title taken away that it is still his
belt?

Actually it is Cotto's fault, he called out Cotto, begged for the fight. Cotto and Top Rank refused, then when Williams left, Cotto fought Mike Jennings for the vacancy instead of the true champ. Williams couldn't get anyone to fight him for his belt, he thought no one wanted the championship, but after he left apparently Cotto wanted it.

You all know and if you don't know I'm a die hard PACQUIAO fan, but his demand of a catchweight of 142-143 is getting ridiculous. I say to Pacquiao and his ****** ass advisors to fight him at 147 and stop people from making excuses when you beat COTTO or take the catchweight of 145. Either of those weight would be tolerable for COTTO, or else PACQUIAO needs look at a fight with any of the 140lbs. This is starting to piss me off and lose some respect for PACQUIAO.

Great point. JMM is coming up 9 pounds to fight a man that sat atop the P4P list and is still in his prime. Pacquiao fought at 140 and 147 and looked impressive in both and is being asked to go up to 145. However there is one big difference in the parallels. That is that Mayweather is calling the shots in his match and JMM is the smaller man looking for the $$$ where as Pacquiao is calling the shots in his match against the bigger man looking for the money. Though I agree that the fight is fair at 145 JMM is getting the opportunity of lifetime by moving up in weight whereas Pacquiao is offering that opportunity by moving up in weight.

I don't see how it is different? Pac and JMM are both the smaller
guys. The ONLY difference is that Manny has fought above and
at 140 before and JMM hasn't so it shouldn't be nothing for Pac
to fight Cotto at 145 especially since Pac is comfortable doing so.
Also all 4 of them guys are looking for $ no matter what
position each is in. All these guys gain to win from their matches
with each other so don't get it twisted like Pacquiao don't really
care and that he is giving Cotto a chance because IF he beats Cotto
it helps him more in the long run same as Cotto. Pacquiao should be
able to hang with Cotto at 145, didn't he come to the ring at 142
for Oscar?

He's trying to get every last dollar in.A deal was sent to him,he probly tweeked some things around and "countered" with a different proposal.




Thats his last stance trying to push it for a lower weight AKA he probly offered cotto a lil bit of more cash to drop down.



Cotto better stick to his guns and take it at 145.80% of the fight being done is too far in to break down.And if it does it was a result of the catchweight selfishness of pac.
