Cotto got his mouth bust open against Zab Judah and Cotto hit him
low 2x. Shane, Margarito and Clottey tagged him up. Cotto has a
good resume but against Comp on his level or above he has struggled.
We all agree that Floyd should fight the top guys now that he's back
but back then it didn't happen, get over it. Floyd is coming back
fighting Marquez after 2 years, lets see what he does after that.
Cotto came back after 7 months of losing to Margarito and fought
Jennings for a vacant WBO title that Williams left because he couldn't
get a fight? you don't see nothing wrong with that? Point is that
these guys are not perfect so to rag on one and give the other a pass
is not right and exact to me.

where did floyd struggle with judah? in 3 of the 1st 4 rounds that judah won only because he was the more active fighter? floyd beat the **** out of corley, i dont know what fight you were watching and floyd won a close contraversial decision to castillo then fought him again to prove all the people wrong and clearly won the rematch

That's my gripe on here sometimes is that certain types catch
amnesia or forget facts when convenient to back up their claims
then begin to make things up and paint a different picture. Floyd
was destroying Zab to the point Zab got desperate and hit Floyd
low and in the back of the head.......that's Zab being desperate
not dominant. Corley got spanked but Corley had Cotto on Spaghetti
legs and Larry Merchant said Cotto got a home town stoppage.
Cotto has been saved or protected in a lot of fights by the referees
and judges. Floyd had the fight of his life and was injured. He could
have took that win but he decided to man up and give him an
immediate rematch, how could people hate on that?

Another emotional posted. I'm just giving back what is being brought
to me. It's hard to have an open opinion about a fighter or fight on
here without name calling. I don't care one way or the other. And
for the record.......Zab didn't bust Floyd's mouth open and Cotto fought
him after AND Floyd didn't low blow Zab, Zab did it to him BUT Cotto
did it to Zab twice to gain an upper hand. I bet you still think I'm

Cotto Totally owned Zab, Zab Butted Cotto on the chin and on the eyebow, but you seem to forget that. Zab Won the first 4 rounds of his fight with Mayweather and even KHD.

Corley had Cotto on ***** street but so he did to FLoyd, wich he had out on his feet.

In the end of the as of Now, FLoyd has a decent resume and very good accomplishment, Cotto have as good of resume, but not near the accomplishment Floyd have.

Umm yeah... Floyd was hurt, but far from out on his feet.

In the Cotto/Judah fight, it's pretty clear that the speed was getting to Cotto. While Cotto adjusted and took charge of the fight, I believe the obvious fouls helped him get some room when he was hurt.

Mayweather is a lot better than Cotto. Remember Floyd never lost a fight, unlike Cotto who took a knee and quit when he fought Margarito and his win with Clottey is questionable. If the fight happened in Las Vegas there's no doubt Clottey won by UD.

I just don't think Miguel Cotto is as great as everyone makes him
out to be. I gave him props for fighting Clottey and going the distance
with that cut over his eye but I've never been impressed by him.
The thing that gets me is that, I read posts on people ragging on
every fighter especially Floyd but when someone says something
negative or don't agree completely on the dominance of Miguel Cotto
then he doesn't know Boxing? That's BS and you can tell cats get
emotional because they start name calling and beefing. I don't care
if everyone likes Floyd/Manny/Marquez or not, but when the facts
ain't there I'm not Cosigning.

I have to say that you do go a little bit to the extreme in your criticisms of Cotto. Yes he struggled at the end of his run at 140 but he was burning muscle the days before the fight and hence his propensity to be knocked down - just look up the photos of the weigh-ins, he was a ghost. But you know what? In every fight he got up and beat his opponent, breaking jaws and dislocating shoulders in the process.

He's had close fights at 147 as well but part of it is that he's fighting the best. Like I have mentioned before, five of the top ten in Ring magazine's welterweight rankings. Cotto is limited (who isnt really) but he's still top tier and there is no way around that. If floyd would fight the best (he's fought only one of the top 10) he wouldn't be open to all this criticism. A lot people hate. At the same time a lot of people are just fed up that a talent such as him seems unwilling to rise up to challenges before him. He can prove he is the best of his generation (skills wise he probably is) but is too enamored of his undefeated record. Ironically, money issues may force money mayweather to do just that.
