I'm going to go on a limb and say Chambers by decision. I think Chambers shown that he can strategize and execute the right gameplan against anybody. Against Peter he was moving a bit more not engaging with him, against Dimitrenko he walked him down. Chambers would not fight Wlad the same way he did against Dimitrenko.

Byrd should of never been a heavyweight, Byrd would probably of been an ATG had he fought at LHW or CW.

That remains to be seen. Byrd beat Tua, Oquendo, and Holyfield to name a few. And lucked out against Vitali.

The competition comparision isn't even close.

Byrd in his late years had nowhere the speed he did in his prime.
And Byrd faced some wicked punches which Chambers has yet to deal with.
Maybe he would've fared better at cruiser, but he didn't do too damn bad at heavyweight.

I have to agree, although I am still leaning towards Wlad., largely for the fact that I think the fight would land in Germany, and I'm not sure if it's possible for Chambers to win a decision there. I think Chambers will be the best fighter Wladimir will have faced in recent memory, Haye notwithstanding.

          I'll be rooting for Wlad.

I would root for Povetkin over any heavyweight not named Klitschko.

            Me too.

But I kind of wish they weren't fighting each other, because Povetkin won't be the same after fighting Wladimir.

to say chambers style is based on not getting hit, what do you think wlads is?

id like chambers more if he didnt contribute to the growing trend of american heavyweights being fat. no explanation is needed on why wlad would beat chambers, but if you honestly think that chambers can win, lets go ahead and sig it up cause ill give you odds and bet as many points as i can on chambers getting shut down, and it wont even be remotely close.

Klistchko was all wrong for Byrd from the start and when he fought him last, he was just way too old.

But don't kid yourself. Chambers resume is nowhere near where Byrd's was and Byrd fought some huge punchers (he both won and lost against massive punchers)
based on what i have seen from eddie so far in my opinion hes better then byrd ever was, maybe Im wrong but thats what I think, byrds best win is over vitali, if vitali never quit byrd would never be anything else then what he was, byrd choked in hig biggest fights, I mean he almost lost to mccline and ruiz, not to mention the worst hw fight in history vs davaryyl snoop dogg williamson, the in prime burd would have never given peter or dimiternko a boxing lesson like eddie did

Of course it might follow the usual script, however I don't think Eddie is just going to fold under pressure as Wlad's recent opponents have. Obviously Wlad. would be a heavy favorite, but Chambers has proven himself as a quality boxer. He will not be another Austin, Ibragimov, Thompson or Chagaev. In reality, Chambers would box the **** out of any one of those guys.

Unfortunately, Wlad, late KO in Rounds 8-10.
