I agree that Manny is becoming a hype job. His legacy is intact though it won't be as grand as many of the great boxers before him however. IMO Manny's first win against Barrera is his biggest win and his only real significant one. He fought JMM to a draw and an arguable SD, lost to Morales before beating him when he was obviously shot, made a run at LW and faced the weakest opposition available, fought a 36 year old man who had no business in WW, and then took out a hype job in Hatton. This fight for Pacquiao means a lot since it will be his only real stiff competition in weights north of 130 pounds. Equally this is just as important to Cotto since to be the man you gotta beat the man and like it or not Pacman is the man right now. I personally am rooting for Cotto.

what really gets me angry is the fact that nobody is giving cotto a chance in hell to beat pacman. we are not talking about an over the hill fighter like dlh or a short volume punching midget with no jab. this is a legit real elite WW who can punch. hes hungry and still in his prime. we don't know what will happen if pacman gets tagged by a real WW shot.

and who the **** said paulie gave a run for cotto cuz after the fight paulie needed a new face and was out for almost a yr

and since when you need to dominate elite fighters it order to be good. tito trinidad ever dominated an elite fighter in their prime????? in my eyes i think cotto has done much better against elite fighters. an old mosley goes out the door after the margarito fight so stop it

        True that...

And when he beat the rice and beans out of Cotto, Cotto was o drastically weight drained from losing two pounds and he was on a decline anyway...

        ****ing hype-job that Pac is...

There are no excuses for this match at all. Cotto's camp and Cotto himself said that 145 is where they feel comfortable. I mean **** he came in at 146 for the Clottey fight and looked as good as I've seen him. Pac has already proven he can move up to 147 but feels that 145 is fair as well. There should be no excuses for the outcome of this fight.

cotto stops pacman in rounds 8 thru 10 somewhere around there. Cotto is in his prime and he is a offensive machine. He will catch manny with a left hook up stairs and he will stun him then cotto will proceed to stop him guranteed.

If this is their final offer screw them Cotto, dropping weight and getting this bull**** now is more than enough, you can always have:

              Mosley II
              Clottey II
              Margarito II
              Berto
              Cintron
              Williams

or defend your belt till you decide to quit or move up in weight, Manny isn't everything but I'm sure Cotto knows.
all of your options are the most annoying thing if cotto ever follow...he couldnt get even 3/4 of his $$$$$$ compare to mega manny fight...evry one is chasing pac this time for certain $$$$ even pbf....

You obviously didn't catch the point of my comment. I merely meant that since leaving his throne at 130 pounds Pacquiao has not faced the best level of competition. Any real follower of boxing saw the Hatton win coming, 147 pound ODLH was easy pickings for any WW or top fight that can make 147, and Diaz is whack. Cotto is the hardest test for Pacquiao above 130 pounds.

Not everyone is a money hungry **** and a media whore hype job like Floyd, I'm more than sure Cotto likes things the way they are now and wants Margarito more than he wants Pacman even if the money doesn't compare.

i agree with you,im a pinoy a big fan of pacman but i dont like that trend of jumping weight and avoiding other champions and making excuses that they don't have the draw of money fights,if im not mistaken he's not yet to defend any belts that he won since the jumping jacks,i like him to stay in 1 weight and take all the belts unified them that's the only thing that he never done rather than cherrypicks a handicapped fights......lol

why u think cotto was so fast to jump on the catchweight of 145. he even said it himself its not a problem cuz ill be entering the ring 8-10lbs more. it wont be a problem for him. IN 5 out of 8 bouts at WW cotto has come under 147. so 1 lb is nothing
