Yeah, man. I actually like those both fights, but this SMW tournament jizzes all over both of them. It's a phenomenal idea.

But boxing has a habit of shooting itself in the foot, and I can see something going wrong, sadly.

I'm glad Showtime would be doing it, cos HBO have really dropped the ball this year.

I guess Allan Green would get the winner of Bute-Andrade II or Pavlik

great news! I hope it happens.good job SHOWTIME! Now hbo may have to come up with something similar.this is great for boxing.good fights, creditable contenders from all over the world.3 Americans,a Brit,a german,a Dane.nice mix of guys.if Kelly pavlik would have fought Abraham instead of rubio & negotiating with duddy & mora he too could have been involved...too bad now pavlik looks ******.whoever wins this will have beat at least 3 of the best in the world & may have to fight 1 guy twice.anyone who doesn't like this is a complete idiot.this is the best thing to happen to boxing in years...I hope it happens.too bad pavlik you losing big $$$$.all participants will walk out rich.

As a Brit, I have always sort of idolised HBO and envied the American fans who have access to it.

But this year, they've really fannied things up. Putting all their resources into a couple of mega fights, turning down some potentially GREAT fights (Froch vs Taylor) and playing some horrible ones (Dawson vs Tarver 2), and their general complacency, which even comes through now in the commentary. Lampley and Co seem to be going through the motion these days.

Wait...Green has one loss, and suffered a flash knockdown against Miranda, after dropping Miranda two rounds earlier and all the sudden he's CHINNY? The ONLY one on that list that I'd favor over Green would be Kessler.

You're right, their standard has dropped. While I've always preferred HBO production value, Showtime has been providing some great fights as of late. And I always find Showtime just feels more welcoming for some reason, they don't tend to be as serious as the HBO crew - hopefully they can grab in a load more fans.

if it happens my gut feeling tells me carl froch wins! It is very difficult to pick a winner.styles make fights so it's too tough to chose a clear winner but froch has momentum going after wins vs pascal & taylor.he's a rock, comes to fight, can get off the canvas to win...I got to go with him.I'd say direll or kessler are going to have the toughest time winning any of their fights unless they fight each other.
