Mayweather vs Marquez Bumped Up To 147-Pounds?

This is not right. JMM should not accept if the 147 lb stuff is actually true. He's better than being jerked around like that. The man still holds the legit world championship at his actual weight class. He should just concentrate on securing a title defense there until another big fight opportunity with fair terms arises.Comment

I honestly don't care anymore, people ****ted on 144, no difference here. All I know is, I'm excited to have Floyd back and I'm gonna buy this PPV.Comment

You're right about Marquez having more balls than Pacquiao. JMM would take this fight at 147 if it came down to that. Pacquiao has a lot of leverage to do what he does though. So you can't blame someone in his position I suppose. As a JMM fan, part of me actually does want this fight to be at 147 so Marquez will get more credit if he beats Floyd. The credit he will get has already been marginalized a little bit because of this injury that Floyd had supposedly suffered to go along with Mayweather's layoff. But I will say that if this story is true, Mayweather is looking like a ***** and deserves all the negative criticism he's getting on here. I'm one of those people that doesn't continually tear him down however like a lot of other posters do even though I don't like Floyd.Comment

I don't know, since their fight JMM has taken tougher challenges than Pac. Cotto is a tougher challenge than Hatton and DLH, but once again JMM is still taking a tougher challenge in Mayweather.Comment

It's tough for people that buy into all that top rank propaganda. Disregard all Mayweather has done in the sport, people that come behind him doing the same thing deserve 10 times the credit. If it were Pac fighting JMM it would be the bravest thing in the world, if Mayweather were fighting Pac at 145lbs he would be a ***** for not going to 140lbs and it would be unfair to Pac since he's best at 140lbs. How can you win as many championships as he has, be regarded top P4P and be considered "Afraid of losing the 0", that's phrase sounds straight from a top rank hype conference.Last edited by formarkiz; 07-03-2009, 10:14 AM.Comment
