Mayweather vs Marquez Bumped Up To 147-Pounds?

This is like the third time that this fight has been rumored to take place at 147 lbs. So what the f#ck is the deal here? I would rather watch this fight with Mayweather having to get down to 143-144. But if it happens at 147, so be it. I a lot of times criticize Manny Pacquiao for trying to get Mosley and Cotto to drain weight, so I won't use double standards. But the reason why this situation with Marquez and Mayweather is a little bit different is the fact that Marquez has never fought above 135 before, where Pacquiao has fought higher than what he is currently trying to get Cotto to come in at. And the fact that Nacho Beristain is the one who is bringing this up is the reason it could hold some truth to it.

i floyd doesn't want to do it at 143,then stick to fighting the real welters,mosley,cotto,cintron, this is bull when people say he's a small welter,fine then,go be a big jr welter and meet jmm there,juan hasn't fought there either so it would still be an advantaga for floyd,just seeing their picture of both of them side by side,mayweather looks too big,shoulders,arms,chest,everything....floyd is a puss...either fight him at 140 or fight the guys at 147 like cotto,mosley and berto..but choose which way you want it..,i think he just uses excuses..

The fact that Mayweather had to postpone this fight with an injury took some shine off of it too. A good thing about this though, is the fact that if Marquez does pull off the unexpected, and beat Mayweather at 147, that would help pull the credit back in his favor if people used Mayweather's injury as an excuse. The fact that Mayweather is dragging Marquez up that high makes him look like a straight ***** though. I'll hold my criticism of him off until I find out if this is true or not though.

Floyd has always maintained the fight was @ 147 even during press conferences.This had always been the official position.I do not know who started this 143 because even at the first Presser it was 147 and in London he insisted it was 147.Manuel could have disputed it then.

Also Floyd never comes in at 160,at the best he's 2lbs above 147.

Well Floyd can weight 147 and Marquez can come in 142-144, the weight difference shouldn't be that much, he just need to box carefully, hopefully this "extension" can help Marquez adjust to the weight.

mayweather always said in interviews "this is a welterweight fight, dont believe what you read somewhere" when he was asked about the weight being set at 144 - 145 so i guess they always knew, was in the contract, but still somebody said it was a catchweight.
