because floyd is the former #1 and if the current #1 (pac) loses and since JMM is the current #2, if floyd beats jmm it makes him instantly #1.

that said, he still needs to fight mosley and/or cotto (should he beat pac).

Your logic doesn't seem in line with what pfp means. Pfp isn't a division where you beat someone then you take their spot (to me). Pfp fighters IMO should be ranked on skills and what happens to them when they take the best available fights and challenge themselves. By your logic, if wlad were to heat pac, then he would be pfp. There are a number of fighters who have accomplished more than floyd lately, and him beating a guy coming up 2 weight classes isn't that impressive. Just like pavlik beating cotto wouldn't be that impressive.

end of discussion...let's see what he has to respond with...many people make that same claim....they favor floyd to beat fighter A or B or A and B, but then they say, he's ducking them...i have read many posts making the same claims...trust me...it's like they are really saying, what they blame floyd fans for claiming about floyd, how his skill is so good, that he would beat these fighters without even fighting them...it cracks me up...

Just because one fighter may be favored to beat another, it shouldn't be a pass not to fight him. Seems most Floyd fans (not all) cannot grasp this basic concept.
