Vicious will come back. He will be smarter in the ring with more determination. I just think he might need a better trainer .

These are great comments. Somehow, even though he lost he's definitely made a bigger fan of me. Even DLH's comments were decent. Richard Shaeffer however talking about rabbit punching is a joke. Whether or not it happened or how much it played a factor, he comes off as sounding like a complete douche. Green K for Victor Ortiz though!

I want Victor Ortiz to succeed, cause i respect how he carries himself outside of the ring despite not having you parents around. But I'd hate to see GOLDEN GIRL PROMOTION AND SCHAEFER succeed and get the much needed hype to all of Victor's success. Ortiz should leave GBP and go back to TOP RANK, that way Bob Arum can guide his career much better. LONG LIVE TOP RANK,,,**** GOLDEN BOY PROMOTION

I hope Vic wins the rematch. I agree with people who are saying if Ortiz boxes, wears down El Chino and then goes for the kill, he will have better success. He shouldn't have gone toe to toe with this guy out the gate.

they were already pushing him to get Kotelnik's belt.

                avenge your loss

I think Ortiz should avenge this loss permanently and clearly. That is if their managers and him want us to believe in him as the new superstar in boxing, like they had us believing in before the fight. Good Luck.

Schaefer is a complete tool. Rabbit punches my ass. If Ortiz was in the hospital, it was from getting smacked really hard in the head with legitimate punches. Ortiz got beat and at least he's manned up about it. His promotional team needs to shut the f--- up and take their cue from their fighter, who acknowledged he fought the wrong fight and paid for it. Making bull**** excuses and insinuating Ortiz lost because of rabbit punches only makes Schaefer look like a idiot. He talks as if nobody actually watched the fight and he is trying to convince us that Maidana cheated his way to victory.

Pully he said the right things after he had a conversation with ODLH and the GBP peeps....No one wants to hear what he said come out of a fighters mouth at all.....He has talent and can be exciting I have seen comparisons to Fernando Vargas and I think he has a little more talent then Vargas and Vargas had more fire and heart.....His heart might be there if he digs down deep and really goes for it next time out...When he is introuble and he perserveres.....

When you are a fighter you are a different kind of animal the fans are very demanding. The things that are expected of you are sometimes ridiculous but you know all this going in and you expect to get hurt it is part of the sport. We all have seen young fighters come up and we have the usual questions,

Does he have the stamina to go 12 rounds?

                    Can he take a punch?

What is he going to do when faced with an opponent that won’t fold?

How is he going to react when he is hurt?

These are all normal questions and they are part of this sport we know and love. When you are a fighter you are the last known form of a gladiator. You fight for sport and a purse. You do thing to your body that most would cringe at even the thought and you push it further. Sure you can ask of these so called fans what right do they have to say what they say about their favorite gladiators. The simple answer is when you fight for a purse you have to think about who is providing you that purse and in what manner you will have to perform to earn it. You can't expect to go into every fight and roll over your opponent. There are going to be times like Saturday night when you seem to be the favorite and you know what you are going to get tested in front of those so called fans. Ortiz gave us a great show but when some of those for mentioned questions were asked of him he gave us the wrong answers or maybe just the answers we didn't want to hear....All in all he is a good young talent but maybe he learned something about himself Saturday that he didn’t know going in......you can never criticize someone until you walk in their shoes but anytime someone is performing for money and you are the one buying tickets and PPV then you can excursive your right to speak then and not buy what they are selling.....Lefty

What about when he said he wouldn't go out on his back? Is that the words of a champion?
