Welterweights are 147 not a catch weight. Some of you are probably going to say well they can fight under the limit. What makes this NOT a welterweight fight are the terms of the fight. If it were a true welterweight fight then Cotto could weigh in at 147. It is amazing how many people are on here talking like it should be for the welterweight title when they have no clue of what it is to fight for the title. Last time I checked there was no belt for 144 or 145 lbs.
