i think pacquiao is better fighter than cotto.but what makes this fight interesting is wether cotto can impose his strength on pac and whether pac can be elusive enough not to get tagged to much. he needs to land big on pac in the first few rounds and boss him, and if not pac will be full of confidence and hard to stop. cotto needs to cut the ring and back him up into the ropes, if he cant do this i see pac boxing cotto.

Cotto will not cut off the ring, be sure that Roach is going to be teaching Pac how to stay off the ropes. But I do agree Cotto will only have Pac on the ropes if he hurts him, whether thats early or late... doesnt matter. The key to beating Pac is discouraging him to rush in relentlessly, to make him cautious about throwing more than a 2 punch combination for the sake of being hit back, basically to make him look for alternative gameplan because his current gameplan has no effect. The thing with Pac is he doesnt have an alternative gameplan, Roach does, but he wont be able to teach Pac this during a fight seeing Pac trains one way.

I think cotto is made for pac. Hes not amazing defensively, and he'll get hit by someone with pacs speed. Not only that but he'll come forward into pac, which is exactly how he beat the crap of hatton. What southpaws has cotto faced? Chop-Chop gave him a lot of trouble and had nightmares with Judah before he did his traditional thing of bitching out.

On the other hand roach doesnt sound NEARLY as sure about this as he did about Hatton and DLH. With those guys he was predicting the round, this time he's not even solidly predicting a win

Maybe we are rootin for Pac cuz he's basically 8 divisions smaller than Cotto who is a 145 tough skilled strong puncher who had never been really outboxed(margo didn't at all,Clottey didn't really altough Cotto was bleedin to death).

Cotto destroyed Judah and Corley,he's a bad match up for a fast southpaw.
