At 24-0 Cotto was in a shootout similar to the one Victor was in this Saturday...

bro
no i dont believe everything i "here" and Iv watched boxing and participated in boxing where i respect any fighter that enters the squared circle. Unlike you who has the nerve to continue to call a fighter a quitter and a ***** due to the fact that he took 11 rounds of punishment from a fighter who was fighting with plaster of paris in his hands. Plaster of paris for ****s sake. Im not even angry with Ortiz who im a fan of. He couldnt take anymore and decided not to risk his health, those are the sighns of a smart person, idc what you say.
Ortiz did the right thing but said the wrong thing. the guy is very frank and sincere but he should learn to limit his talking. He could have tried a few more rounds but if the left eye would have sweled up more he was not going anywhere fast. He should come back.Comment

Once again just your personal interpretation of the events.
One situation has nothing to do with the other...People's behave differently in different situations.
To many variables to really judge and compare the 2 situations.
A head shake can mean many different things to different people.
I've seen fighters get dropped and shake there head in anger at themselves for being dropped or caught with a punch(Clottey)
I've seen them shake there heads as if to show there opponents that they are unfazed.(Clottey)
I've seen fighters shake there head at a corner for them not to stop the fight.(Cotto)
and I've seen fighter shake there head no at the ref as to indicate they no longer with to continue fighting.(Ortiz)
Anyway back to my original point...It's all about your own personal perspective or what you decided in your own mind is the truth for you...Doesn't make it a reality outside of your head though does it.Comment

I saw it like that too
( regardles of the fact that I am of the opinion i know that he used plaster.)
He was smart in my opinion.. just like Ortiz made the right decision...
Does not make either of them less of a man or a ***** like some people here call them all the time.. say it to their face...Comment

YES... you step up in opposition and fight better opponents your power wont look to good any more. It renders useless if your in with a guy that can neutralize it. Thats what Holt did his second go round after making a mistake in 1st fight ...And 2nd fight Torres got KTFO. Cotto a step up for Torres Got KTFO!!
Wow other than that he has **** on his record. You have problems learning huh?
Steps up twice gets KOd Twice...One win over Holt before getting KOd by Holt and he is a god LOLComment

Dropped Cotto in there fight to.
They got up and fought back...But it doesn't take away from the fact that his power was still evident against NON BUMS.
If his power disappears magically as you claim against better caliber opp...Then Cotto and Holt would not have been wobbled or dropped by him ever.
Good caliber boxers get knocked out all the time by lesser opposition with good power.
It's called a punchers chance.Comment
