ortiz just couldnt handle that overhead right. he looked frustated till he finally gave up. thats the difference between a complete fighter and a brawler. sad thing for ortiz is that he was up in the scorecards, he could have taken maybe a rd to gather some strengh and come back but he decided to quit. thats what really make him look bad

im surprised. I would never think you would talk good about Miguel like that. Comes to show its hard to hate on a fighter who leaves everything in the ring like Cotto does. Good thread, but i hope Ortiz can rebound from this loss, he can beat Maidana and from the beginning of the fight i knew he was letting the crowd get to him, i was literally screaming at my tv for Ortiz to box. Ortiz isnt finished he will come back stronger WATCH

I thought this was going to be Ortiz's Torres...I thought after he got up from the first knockdown and got his bearing he would find a way to win.

I wish he would have just kept fighting...I think he would have eventually taken Maidana out.

Torres isn't a pressure fighter like Margarito nor is he a heavy hitter like Margarito. Credit to Cotto on the Torres fight.... But still You dont EVER quit. Go out on your shield . Torres, Margarito ,.two different animals

This was a fight to prove his worth to boxing and to himself as a fighter.

If Ortiz would have hung in there he would found a whole new level and know what boxing is truely about..

but now that he just didnt decide to continue, he'll always be worried everytime he finds himself in a fight again.
