well, in mma you either tap out or you get your arms/legs broken or you die from asphinxiation.

I always laugh at people who call the fighters 'quitters' or 'cowards', despite them fighting their heart out for 6+ rounds beforehand.

I mean, if they put up a mediocre preformance and then called it quits, thats one thing...but after going through a brutal war, and stopping the fight early in a round you KNOW youre not going to survive right after you got knocked down? cmon now.

        i know.

people don't say "oh he's a ***** for not letting his arm get broken."

we need to let guys decide for themselves if they want to continue or not.

if they do it several times then we can rightfully call them quitters or no heart.

first sign of a war? he got knocked down by a right hand in the first round, and continued getting hit by a hand right hands throughout the next few rounds.

he had already taken plenty of punishment to that point, and would have been getting in dangerous grounds if he continued.

the fight was a war the second the bell for the first round sounded.

i thought ortiz was very much in control of that fight...when maidana didnt fold like expected and started to actually tag victor, he didnt want to fight anymore

its like going for a RNC on an armbar, you can't get it, then you quit...that's ****ing bull****

good point... but technically as long as you quit, you're still a quitter, no matter how valiantly your performance before hand.

                    I don't feel quitter = coward tho.
