Pause at 30 seconds there was more damage to Victors face than Diazs,i am not saying he would have died i am saying that there was a chance if that fight continued.

and also, to add onto markbnlv's point. it doesnt have to be just one fight. leading up to the benn-mcclellan fight, gman was complaining of nose bleeds and headaches.(due to the 2 jackson fights he had). so it doesnt have to be 1 fight to **** u. it can be an accumilation

Well, he knew what he was getting into when he signed the waivers. Even before that when he chose boxing as a profession.

Ortiz wouldn't have been acting the way he did(shrugging his shoulders and all that) if he felt his life was at stake. Cotto had more reason to go to a knee. I know I make alot of jokes about Cotto quitting but I dont blame him for taking the knee and quitting.

Ortiz on the other hand wasn't in too much danger. Who's to say with some slight adjustment he would have turned the tables the next round? Now we can never find out because he gave up. Champions fight through the pain and dig deep to the later rounds. Ortiz just gave up.
