He should hook up with a higher profile trainer.
you're the one who dont know what you're talking about if you think maidana does'nt have handspeed......ortiz would kill funeka and guess what, nate could'nt beat him decisively...nate is good but hes' not great......it takes more than one big win to be great you know....

It's not his fault he was so hyped up. Maybe he let it get to his head though. All in all he still has potential, he's still young. Regardless of what he says, he will be back. He gave us a great fight and that's all we can ask. He'll keep fighting.

You all keep giving Nate a hard time, but you should be giving Ortiz the business. Did you hear his Post fight comments? "I am not going to get knocked out for anybody." "I dont want to have brain damage when I am older." These COULD be respectable comments from a "Veteran" of the fight game. You kow, someone who has over 40 fights, been in some wars, in the game for 8 years or more, or is in the "Twilite of his Career". BUT WE CANNOT RESPECT THIS FROM A 22 YEAR OLD WHO WAS BEING HYPED AS THE NEXT GREAT FIGHTER! He will never recover from this because his heart has been exposed and taken.

I told everyone around me to watch out for this Maidana kid in this fight.Golden Boy really screwed the pooch on this one,I mean what the hell was he thinking?Same thing that happened to Khan repeated itself last night, didn't he see it;straight lame."Don't want to go out on my shield",his career is F**king over, both his chin and his heart were exposed last night.Best believe that a fight between Maidana and Khan won't be happening any time soon.I think Khan's team learned their lesson of putting their guy in the ring with someone better.Ortiz=Khan,Khan=Ortiz,no matter how you look at it,too much hype for unproven fighters.

As I've mentioned on the other thread, Ortiz has not been with the big boys and it's premature for him to get a lot of attention from the media. I am assuming that Golden Boy Promotion is running out of prize fighters that they are giving Ortiz much publicity and respect that he hasn't earned.
