Man. That must be some of the worst ratings for a big fight ever.

Oh yeah and was there an ad for the fight at all? Did people even know it was on Classic? I go on this board for news every day and I din't know it was on Classic until a few days before the fight.
When I asked boxing fans here on Boxingscene they said Chageav was Wladimir Klitschko's greatest win...

        Shows how "great" Wladimir is.

To think half the people on ESB think Wladimir would beat a prime Mike Tyson and Ali.

Perhaps boxing should just ignore the US and get on with its business. 60,000 turned up to watch that fight live! I'm sure Wlad went home a very rich man that night...

Sad that HW boxing is so ignored in the USA.

To be fair, there are several reasons for the dismal numbers. First, ESPN announced that they would be airing the fight maybe a week before it. Secondly, there was virtually no advertising of it. Thirdly, it aired at an unusual time slot; 5:00 pm eastern time….

Will give casual fans a bad view of boxing.

I got into boxing because it was exciting, Wladimir, even as a HARDCORE boxing fan, makes it so hard to watch him.
Good point. It's better that no one knew about it.

I question the German fans though. How much money are they coughing up to sit front row at these coma inducing glorified sparring sessions.

He's boring. Get over it. It's not sad that Americans don't want to watch a boring fighter. There's plenty of other fighters to watch.
