LOL ..I'm fearful about how those talks will go. The Floyd Hatton fight got done pretty quick so I hope the same thing happens with Pac. Something tells me there may be more politics.

I agree homey, and that's why Mr boat buyer will always get dissed for this. He had 2 mega $ fights in a row, and won both. He was in his prime and at his peak. Marg was as big as he coulda been. It was time to fight his top challenger like he claimed he would, but he balked for more $ from DLH, then balked period. The guy don't care about his legacy or the fans he lost over this ****, which sucks. But **** it, it is what it is.

            Signed, sealed, and delivered.

It's **** like "who is **so and so** again?" that keeps possible great fights from getting made.

We've got more businessmen in this sport than we have got fighters.

I agree with you that it "appears" he doesn't care about his legacy or the fans. I look at it like this. I'm the one taking the punches and boxing isn't like being an IT Manager, mailman, or even a country singer. I can't do this when until I'm 40 or 50. I have to make as much money as possible and avoid ending up like Meldrick Taylor. The game is harsh and will spit you out. I don't know if you've ever boxed before but it is more than a sport. It's easy for us to sit behind our computers and type who's a sissy or ***** when no one is punching us. Sports in general has changed to a business. Boxing is still the sweet science but it comes with a bad after taste sort of like drinking diet coke. I'm a Mayweather fan but I wish he'd fight Cotto,Mosely,Pac or any of the top guys too. I believe he will fight at least one if not two of them. I think the Cotto v.s. Pac fight makes it unlikely because I don't see him fighting the loser ever! As for quitting the sport in his prime, He's been in boxing since he was like 3 years old. If you remember, he also said right after the Gatti fight he wanted to quit. It doesn't matter if you deliver mail or wait tables, 25 plus years of doing anything is a long ass time. Why do we blame anyone for taking a break? Would you write a bad blog if your mailman quit tomorrow? Not dissing you at all because I've read many of your posts and agree with you quite a bit on most of them. Floyd outside the ring is a complete and total fool. Inside, no one can argue the man's skills. He's the most talked about fighter on this site. Business is business. Because of the Don King's and Bob Arums fighters today try to look out for themselves as much as possible. I don't know about most of you but I'd rather have my legacy damaged than my brain. If any of us had Floyd's talents we'd be boxing instead of writting about it. The smartest thing he did was buy out his contract with Arum. His legacy will be fine and he will fight Pac and or Mosley or Cotto. The sad part is even after he does the haters will find something else to complain about. Do you not think he knows this?

You speak well for Floyd but it doesn't excuse his fans who pretend no one was deserving of a shot except Sharmba Mitchell, Carlos Baldomir and Zab Judah.

All I can say is, if they were that concerned with their well being and health,

they'd have found another profession to be in.

But they are indeed fighters and people expect the best to take on the best money issues or not.

We know how Floyd works, if the fight is risky he is not there.
