People are gonna complain regardless so its pointless...

People still wanna bring up the Castillo fight from over 5 years ago...

They just don't like Floyd. Shooting down their arguments won't do anything...
You're shooting blanks though. People have presented situations that were in fact, real, yet you choose to ignore them.

They were talking about Floyd-Margarito well before he agreed to fight Baldomir.

If anything I think he could have fought both Cotto and Tony after Hatton. Before Hatton. Before that point I don't think it would have made sense.

Yes, before Baldomir as well. I mean, in replace of Baldomir.

A fight wit Margarito would have made sense then but no one was demanding it anymore...and then Margarito loses his belt again...

This is what I'm gettin at. The rematch still woulda made bank, but Mr boat buyer's cred woulda took a nasty dip. Marg was hotter than ever after the Cotto fight. At that point, he'd been 'retired' for a month. Big deal. He had last fought in December, plenty of time for his hands to heal up. His 2 main threats were forced to fight each other, 1 got bumped off, and the other my have been a lil damaged. Everything was perfectly in place for the Marg fight. He walked cuz he didn't ****in want it.

Mayweather ducked him. Why? Incredibly bad match up. Margarito's style and physical advantages completed PWN anything Floyd brings to the table. Thus he rejected the offer.

Get real! Correct me if i'm wrong. Floyd made around 8 million for the Baldomir fight plus gained the lineal title. He also used that title to set the stage for a 20 million payday with DLH. On top of that, was it not during or around the Baldo fight that he bought out his contract with Arum for 750k? Not only was Margarito not a household name but there was little to gain compared to the path Floyd chose. As for the bigger draw than Judah and Spinks. I seriously doubt in 06 that Margarito would have drawn more than Judah . He probably would not have drawn more than Spinks if the fight were to be held in St. Louis. Your hate for Mayweather is so transparent that you could watch the Cotto and Mosely fights and still say Margarito's style would have created a mismatch for Mayweather. I mean, both of those guys outboxed Margarito handily. Had Margarito not cheated, Cotto would have won that fight. He was worn down by the plaster beating by the time the late rounds arrived. Neither of these guys can outbox Floyd. Even a fool that casually watches boxing and hates Floyd would not argue that point. Being free from Arum, making 8 million bucks for an easy fight and a lineal title,20 million plus for DLH and avoiding getting hit with plaster of paris outweighs anything or any reason to fight Margarito. Margarito is a ****ing cheater with limited to no talent ! God knows how many fights he cheated. Why are fans like you still riding his **** as if he's a legitmate fighter worthy of being mentioned among the best of his era. Are you that desparate for a role model? It's comical that someone would even create a thread about this after knowing the truth about the guy. Why not create a thread about Ben Johnson being able to beat Carl Lewis. Or Barry Bonds being better than Hank Aaron. He's a cheater! Let the man ride into the sunset of shame. Find another Idol dude...LOL

It would have been dope. But what I'm saying is maybe only Oscar money would have been able to make him fight at that point.

The funny thing is, Floyd has found ways not to fight alot of fighters. He comes up with excuse, after excuse, after excuse, and his fans still turn a blind eye and support him no matter what.

I understand supporting a fighter, but some of the stuff that Floyd has pulled over the years, should have been call by his fans long ago.

Floyd on a regular basis cheats the fans. His fans don't care though...They seem to care more about how much money he makes, and what some other fighters PPV numbers are, or how big the fan base of that fighter is(I can bet none of Floyds fans acted this way about the sport until Floyd started talking his way out of fights)...

People in this topic asking who was Margo at the time...He was a fighter that hadn't lost at welter in 10 years(at the time), he was the WBO champ (and don't you dare say the WBO belt means nothing...Cause the minute Paul Williams got it, that was the belt everyone wanted defended. Claiming Paul was the man with the exact same belt), and was avoided at the time. The only man to ever mention his name was Paul. Margo also called Floyd out (to his face).

                    The fight should have happend.

Anyway, I think Floyd should have stayed retired...He is just another road block in the progression of the sport now.

Also, make no mistake, he will be KO'ed soon (mark my words).
