Not really bro. Look at the thread title and the first post from Riz. It's nothing to do with being a bigger puncher, we are talking about overall skills. Bat mentioned Kessler being P4P a better puncher, and I don't think it's too far-fetched.

Plenty of fighters are terrible but tough and can take a lot of hammer before they crumble. Sartison still got knocked out anyway, but he needed to be broken down first. Sartison had never been KO'd before.

Another example is Andrade. He has a great chin. Another less-than-technically-impressive but tough cookie right there. He was undefeated, so it's not a bad win for Kess. Andrade was completely outboxed by Bute but ended up turning the fight around and almost KO'd him. Dude is strong as an ox and has proved that he can be made to look completely amateur, but he has the ability to come on late and keep applying pressure until the final bell. Tough fighter.

Same, Riz. I tune into pretty much any fight that's going down, though.

Personally I would much, much (I can't stress this enough!) rather watch a Kessler fight than a Wlad fight.

So being entertaining is a skill? I don't see what him being overly cautious with Rahman has to do with anything.

You could argue that Kessler has better "skills", but Wlad is a better fighter, even if over cautious imo.

No, being entertaining isn't a skill, but it's a bonus. Where the hell did I say it was a skill!!?

Entertainment is created naturally from a fighter being technically skilled, showing some variation, or just being plain willing to get in there and fight. A fighter can be limited as hell but still be entertaining.

Wlad isn't entertaining to a lot of us because he doesn't show variation and has no killer instinct.

                Two can play that game

Lewis won a close controversial decision over Ray Mercer

Wlad dominated and destroyed Mercer in 6 rounds, he was the first man to knockdown and KO the iron chinned Mercer.

                Wlad destroyed Rahman

                Lewis got KTFO by Rahman

Kessler is more accomplished offensively in that he throws more variety.. Wlad is better defensively

I give the edge to Wlad..

This is not a game. This is the Internet!

PS: I respect the fact that you're all about the K Bros, I have no problem with it and I don't like to seem as though I'm disrespecting your fav fighter, however, I don't see my views on Wlad being changed anytime soon. I have really tried hard to enjoy his performances, but it's kinda like trying to get a boner for a girl I just don't dig the look of.

Kessler is better in all departments aside from power obviously. Better footwork, ring generalship, defense, combination punching and overall technique.

Kessler throws beautiful combo's where as all Wlad does is jab and jab and jab and jab and maybe, if were lucky, by sometime around the 6th or 7th round he starts to throw the right hand.
