Pacquiao needs to get Miguel's respect early.
Point taken! It depends. Adrenaline is a b!tch, and if someone could take those shots, and hit back while the other person was open then BAM you have a KO. What I'm trying to get at is that we DON'T know a lot of things...For instance, maybe Cotto could take 5 punches from Manny, and catch him off guard. Maybe Pac hurts or KO's Cotto with that flurry...we just don't know!

No offense man, but that was a thoughtless reply. He made 7 valid points and you replied to none. Fighting isn't all about size and punch power. If it was, Ali would have never beaten Foreman. It's about styles.

I agree with you! We just don't know. I hate it when people convince themselves and try to convince others that their prediction is correct. Again, it's never as simple as "timing kils speed, therefore Manny's speed won't be a factor", or "Cotto's a real Welterweight, so automatically Manny can't win", or "Manny is just way faster, therefore Cotto doesn't stand a chance".

Thee are so many variables, all we can do is weigh them all up and make an educated guess. Whatever happens, it should be a great fight.

and Manny's offense doesn't match to Cotto's. Remember Cotto is puncher/boxer fighter, if he can hurt you he pressures you, goes into offensive mode and takes you into deep waters. We haven't seen Pac fight a natural WW yet. So we will see if Pac can take the pop up at that weight against Cotto. Am starting to think that Roach wasn't planning on having Pac fight Cotto. It's going to be hard for Roach to come up with a game plan against Cotto he even said that Cotto and Mosley were a bit too big for pac.

Pac is a brawler, he hasn't face a true WW yet, cotto is a better boxer than a brawler, lets see what manny can do, won't be surprise if he wins.

Agreed! The thing is everyone on here thinks they make educated guesses...LOL!

Edit: Guess no green k! I must of already given you green.

Come on guys, don't be acting like a bunch of parrots who can't think for themselves.

You cannot time what you can't see coming. Especially when the fighter you are trying to time has such a syncopated rhythm. Pacquiao does not have a normal, predictable rhythm. Being a drummer, I can see this very clearly. It's the same with Joe Calzaghe. His unpredictability and offbeat rhythm (this is why some compare his style to freeform jazz) were some of the reasons why he kept on winning. Pacquiao is similar in several ways to Calzaghe. Both southpaw, and both syncopated as ****. It's hard to beat such a style.

The opposite of these guys is someone like Hatton who has a regular rhythm and fights at one consistent pace. It's the boxing equivalent of a boring 4/4 timing -- you know exactly when and where the beats will fall, every time.
dont know Samurai, I've been sayin this **** for the longest way before 24/7 + I didnt catch one episode of that crap. :RRONTFL:

I've been talkin bout Cotto's timing & *******n Jab since the mosley fight. I jus dont post here much cuz of all the blindness in here :RRONTFL:

I know what ya sayin bout "u cant hit, what u cant see" but trust me Manny is gonna get tagg'd. It aint like he's gonna go the whole fight without being punch'd. This aint Oscar the punchin bag that he's going in there with.

I just hope its a modern day classic like corrales-castillo 1, even thou does expectations are a lil to high to live up to considering that classic that was

Cotto beat them to the punch & kept them off balance cuz of it.

No diff with Manny. Once Cotto times him Manny is ***'D

Cotto doesn't block punches with his face and is stronger and a down right better fighter than Hatton...

And every1 and their momma knew Pac was winning that fight...not in 2 rounds tho
