7 Reasons Why Pacquiao Wins the Cotto Fight

I remember posting up something similar to this post on houseofboxing .com awhile back before Tito fought hopkins; point is that I couldn't see how Bernard was going to be able to handle Tito at all. Come fight night Bernard showed me what a world class fighter he was and all my posts didn't matter cause at the end of the fight Tito couldn't compete. You can have a post on how great Manny is and all his weapons in his repertoire but come fight night its a whole different story.

A good post. However all those things dont always come into account. If Cotto can boss the fight with his strength and get him where he wants he could hurt Manny. Not all attributes always come into play, the power Cotto generates would have Manny in big trouble if he was to be cornerd in the ring by Cotto which is what he would do!

Come on guys, don't be acting like a bunch of parrots who can't think for themselves.
You cannot time what you can't see coming. Especially when the fighter you are trying to time has such a syncopated rhythm. Pacquiao does not have a normal, predictable rhythm. Being a drummer, I can see this very clearly. It's the same with Joe Calzaghe. His unpredictability and offbeat rhythm (this is why some compare his style to freeform jazz) were some of the reasons why he kept on winning. Pacquiao is similar in several ways to Calzaghe. Both southpaw, and both syncopated as ****. It's hard to beat such a style.
The opposite of these guys is someone like Hatton who has a regular rhythm and fights at one consistent pace. It's the boxing equivalent of a boring 4/4 timing -- you know exactly when and where the beats will fall, every time.

i can sorta understand his point but i dont necessarily agree D....although you can make the comparisons between tito and manny, im not so sure that you can compare miguel's skillset, or anyone for that matter, to that of hopkins
Nard had an old school, ring savvy that miguel doesnt have....he pulled every trick in the book in workin tito over....im not sure if miguel has those tricks
