True, i agree that he is not shot but i think he is pretty much past prime. At 40 years old i'm not expecting Roy to fight like he is 30 years old.

I honestly think Roy Jones is actually better than a lot of young fighters out there and can beat them. Calzaghe's work rate was the key to beating Roy. If you don't have work rate you can't beat 40 year old Roy, because he's more cautious now and doesn't even flurry just to not get hit flush so to beat him you can't stop punching and hope to win on the scorecards via being the busier man.

RJ is older. He's past prime clearly, but I agree he ain't shot. I don't see him ****in wit Dawson, but I think he could possibly win 1 more LHW belt before he retires. He's supposedly lookin at a CW fight wit Green should they both win their next bouts tho.

If he was shot, even fragile hands Calzaghe would have ended up KO'n him. I mean Calzaghe even with his broken hands still hits pretty good, but he hit harder when he was younger.

he doesnt throw combos
he is shot. hes my fav fighter right next to b-hop. it broke my heart to see the calzaghe fight live but he is shot, no matter how good he looked against sheika, its a wrap for him. he should hang it up hes already a legend

Larry, what is your position on Roys past steroid use? A few weeks ago many were slamming Shane on these boards, but Roys failed test is mostly forgotten.

This is in no way a post to slam Roy, Im just curious.

He is not shot, but he is missing one of the most important aspects that kept him on top, legs.

He had incredible balance and fast legs. They were so incredibly important to his game. His hand speed is still there, but his mongoose attacks and his ability to quickly get out of harms way are gone.
