    I'm always happy to agree to disagree.

    I would like, though, if you could present me with an argument as to why a 147 pound title should be put on the line in a fight that isn't going to take place at 147 pounds.

      Dan brah,

      welterweight = 147-141.

      If both parties agree to put the welterweight title (147-141) on the line between the welterweight limit of 147-141, its for the welterweight championship.

      If my math is correct, 145 is between 147-141 therefore its in the welterweight limit.

      I dont see any rules broken here.

      Anyways im out to play fnr4.

        Ok.

        My view is that if you are fighting for a 147 pound title then the limit should not be set at below 147 pounds.

        Enjoy the game.

          I think that especially since Cotto was the one to state that 145 was acceptable, I think it's fine. Also I think Cotto's been coming in a little too heavily muscled the last 2 fights anyway, so coming in with a pound less muscle and he'll be able to come in at 145 just fine and rehydrate fully. I agree 143 would of been a big problem. I think it's fair and IMO if Manny wins, it's a huge win for him.

              in your opinion is this a legit WW championship win for Manny if he wins?
              Yes, The only problem is Cotto is not the champ. He just has a paper title. Mosley's the champ.

                Not to mention Pacquiao is moving up 5 pounds from his last outing against Hatton while Cotto is dropping one. Cotto fans are scared and you know why? Because Cotto is a frail man now, no KOs vs decent opposition and he's just 28 and in his natural weight (or so they say).

                      Cotto usually weighs in at 146.
                      Does that mean he's not fighting as a legit WW??

                      I swear , some fans are being to selfish.
