    And floyd puts on 3.
There is no comparison between Floyd and really any other fighter. Let's be real here. Barely anybody walks around basically at their weight class. So let's not use the exceptions to the rule.

Most fighters rehydrate a good amount.

It will be better if they do it with no catch weight like in the old days, to give boxing back its pride. Only two pounds is not too much and Cotto will be 160 at fight night anyway, outweigin Pac by 12 pounds. Do it 147 for the WW canpionship cause it doesn't really metter. Margo is a big WW and he weight-in at 145 for Mosley. Cotto will make it with no problem.

I think more highly of the victory if Pacquiao beat Cotto at 147. But 145 is obviously better than having the fight at 143. But will I give Pacquiao credit for beating Cotto? The credit is either beating Shane Mosley or cleaning out 140. So the answer is no.

Regaining 10-15 pounds is average these days. The guys that don't regain are the guys that stay in shape all the time and guys that are probably fighting above the weight class they should be fighting at (floyd ideally should be at 140, pacman ideally should be at 135/140, etc).

By reed's logic, every fighter should be fighting at their walking around weight. Why the hell else would he reference Floyd Mayweather?

            That's ree****yaluss.

Your comparing fraud jr who started at 130 & is a smallish welterweight to cotto who started at basically 140 & is short but stocky & built welterweight. Fraud jr putting on 3lbs is comparable to everywelter now?

ive never heard of the term "weight drained" so prominently spoken before oscar vs pac just like the term "check hook" after emmanuel steward unveiled it in the broadcast.

weight drained is oscar de la hoya 35 years old & on target for welterweight for weeks.

Is that equal to miguel cotto 28 years old in his prime at 145?

              i dont think so.

Not a full credit for Pac.............if it's really just 2 pounds then why not make it 147 already.

kermit cintron most recently vs angulo put almost that much. humberto soto, paul williams, hugo cazares, arthur abraham, johsua clottey, a lot of fighters rehydrate to 10+ pounds overnight.

u dont hear it as a reason because they are not superstars & they win. its only a convinient card when a fighter loses.

Yes, Manny gets full credit considering Cotto himself was a 140 pound whooper for many years so he should be alright.

To me, in my opinion, fighters that come into the ring weighing 147-148 belong at 140.
