First, it was disappointing to see that Diaconu isn't very good... further proof that 175 is a very limited division (along with Garay dropping to a complete nobody last night).

Then it was disappointing to figure out that idiot RJJ wannabe douchebag Pascal was going to become champion. The guy lost to limited Carl Froch, and can still somehow move up in weight and outbox an even more limited fighter for a light heavyweight title?

I also think I've decided that Jean Pascal might be the least likable character in boxing. A complete **** is what he is.
After he lost to Froch, he straight away said that Froch deserved the decision (even though it was a close one) and he hasn't made any excuses at all for the loss. In the 12th against Diaconu, he still looks to trade, even though he could easily just play it safe.

He seems to me like a good guy with a lot of heart and fighting spirit. How come you dislike him?

I wasn't saying he got robbed against Froch... if anything, it's more embarrassing that he lost a just decision against Froch. We can argue endlessly on how good Froch is, but neither of us will change our minds.

Anyway, I just hate his ****iness and style that is completely unjustified by his lack of talent as a fighter.

What I mean is that he didn't complain about the decision, which shows IMO that he is probably a decent guy, or at least an honest one, rather than a douchbag or a bitter crybaby who can't accept reality. I wasn't trying to say that Froch or all that good or anything like that.

I guess it's just a matter of taste, I quite like his style for the most part, but to each their own and all that.

I don't know anything about his personality outside of the ring, but... he skips around and acts like the light of god is shining down on him when he is "fighting"...

He seriously thinks he is RJJ, but... as it turned out, RJJ was never stunned by terrible journeymen like Pittman.

The three fighters you mention gave boxing fans two very entertaining fights against each other. I saw three fighters who no only entertained everyone watching, but also showed a lot of heart and ability. Titles or personalities be damned! I prefer a good fight and all three of them have earned my respect.

I enjoy skill more than excitement to be totally honest.

I'd gladly watch a mediocre fight like Klitschko-Gomez or Klitschko-Chagaev over Gatti-Ward... I mean, really, there isn't a lot of skill in throwing sloppy punches with full power that are guaranteed to and and taking the exact same thing back in return.

Pascal is like a Poor Mans Jones Jr Morphed together with a Poor Mans Arturo Gatti. Shows some real craft, but is wild and a risk taker.

That kinds makes him fun in there. Is he a great fighter? Hell No!. He is interesting to watch in there though.

What do you mean there is no skill in Gatti vs Ward? Those so called sloppy unskilled fighters could beat 95% of the other pros in their weight classes easy.

Heart and skill are different things.

What happened when Gatti got into the ring with someone who had boxing ability? He got his ass whipped.

Christ, Ivan Robinson outboxed him... twice. So did underachieving Angel Manfredy.

Plus, you have to understand that calling fighters terrible who aren't actually terrible in the purest sense of the word is a necessary evil, because if you call fighters like Gatti good, what do you call fighters like Robinson, De La Hoya or Mayweather. Good to the nth degree? It's just something we have to do to differentiate one from another effectively.
