It was a Very Very Very great fight to watch. My step dad doesn't watch boxing but he sat down about the 9th round and watched the rest of the fight, and he was jumping up and down with The Blows these guys were throwing.

Pascal clearly won but Diaconu is a outstanding warrior. He didn't give up for one second. It's just Pascal Outworked him. What impressed me is that Pascal never stopped going to the body the whole fight. His body punches were hard and crisp. He has good head movement, but he does get careless at times and he puts his hands down. If he goes against the other top LHW's then he cant get away with that like he did with the slower Diaconu.

Very entertaining fight. well worth the watch. Dianconu had a hard time getting into the flow, but that guy is tough as nails and will be back.

That is what I remember most about last night. he threw some dazzling shots to Diaconu's body. Crisp, fast and much of it were in combination.

If he would have done more of that against Froch's injured rib, it would have changed the outcome of that fight.
Very good observation my friend, it wa a body punching clinic...

Like many here, I too thought this was a ****** remark. However after view the highlights here: http://bit.ly/UduH1 I can understand why someone just might think that.

Unfortunately, exciting does not always mean a fighter is a well rounded boxer. That fight was more of a street slug fest and at times it appears both fighters looked amateurish.

Leaving it so late that if it had gone another 14 seconds he'd have lost isn't playing his cards just right - that's like jumping on a train as it's pulling out of the station: it may look great, but you wouldn't plan it that way. I agree he deserves more credit for the win than some are willing to give him, but he really left it much too late.

You seriously think he'd beat Kessler?

That was an awesome fight! Pascal has made a fan out of me.

I'd love to see Diaconu vs Andrade.

I've been following Pascal for a few years now and the only complaint I really had about the dude was his complacency in the ring. Sometimes he seemed content to do the minimum possible. But lately, he's really pushing it to the limit and giving it his all.

This fight was very frustrating to watch.

First, it was disappointing to see that Diaconu isn't very good... further proof that 175 is a very limited division (along with Garay dropping to a complete nobody last night).

Then it was disappointing to figure out that idiot RJJ wannabe douchebag Pascal was going to become champion. The guy lost to limited Carl Froch, and can still somehow move up in weight and outbox an even more limited fighter for a light heavyweight title?

I also think I've decided that Jean Pascal might be the least likable character in boxing. A complete **** is what he is.
