Pac said immediately after the Hatton fight that he didn't want to fight again until the late fall - it had nothing to do with who his opponent was.

Yeah, he has gotten in that trend of where he is only fighting two times a year unlike he used to. What happened to the good old days of where fighters fought 3 and 4 times a year? But Pacquiao is going into politics, so I guess I understand where he is coming form.

My whole point is I don't really care if Cotto and Mosley rematch each other right now. Why can't Pacquiao give Mosley a shot some time in the late summer while Cotto's cut heals? It tells me that he thinks Cotto is vulnerable right now. Don't the Cotto fans want to give him the best chance he can to win? He could use a breather fight before he fights Pacquiao even though I would probably bash him if he took one.
Regarding the power connects you can have 3 power connect in a round but if i control the fight with more jabs and straight right i will have the advantage in the score cards. In terms of the punchcount being dead even, they only came closer because Cotto knew he was so in front of the scorecard and had schooled Mosley that he could afford to take those rounds off and avoid a ko which was the onlything Mosley needed to win. True because of this it became a close fight but Mosley Clearly didn't win IMO and i respect yours. Your are not the only one i would say it, there's a 20% that think it was not a clear win for Cotto.

Now going to your point. Both Cotto and Mosley are high risk fight for Pacman, therefor he will go for the biggest money, because if he loses to Mosley he will lose Cotto also and that's why he won't fight Mosley while Cotto heals. And keep in mind that the split of a Cotto-Pacman fight stays at home completely(Top Rank) and the split Pacman-Mosley doesn't (Top Rank and GBP)

            Good observation,
I guess that making the kind of money they make now, they choose not to fight 3 or 4 times a year. Now some fighters make more money in one fight than what probably Sugar Ray Leonard made in his last 5 years.

In the really good old days, they fought at least once a month. In 1937, Henry Armstrong fought 27 times, 1938, he fought 14 times, in 1939 he fought 12 times. Most of the 1938 and 1939 fights were title fights.

I understand that Cotto brings more money to the table for Pacquiao than Shane does. But people shouldn't act suprised that Mosley is down talking this fight. He feels like Arum has went after Shane and asked for his services when he needed him. But now that Arum doesn't need Shane, you guys see what he is doing don't you.

He can down talk the fight JMM-PBF because way before JMM showed up Mosley had called out PBF sveral times. The fact that he doesn't down talk this fight is because if form his partner in GBP. Remember also that Arum gave Mosley the chance to fight Margarito and that fight along with the fight against Cotto (both Arum fighters) even in defeat has reboosted his career.

you can't rely another boxers promoters to keep on giving you chances you need to start working with your own promoter to play more hard ball and invest more money on you. From where i'm seeing it Arum has done more for Mosley than De la Hoya itself.

                      Iceta,

Don't get me wrong i beleive mosley is a true Warrior and a Great Boxer and you're right he does deserve a chance at a Mega fight but i don't beleive that Cotto, Pacman or Arum are to blame for him not getting one.

If De La Hoya GBP really want to do something for Mosley he should open his pocket and persuad PBF from fighting the winner of Pacman-Cotto and give Mosley the chance that he deserves against PBF. De La Hoya is his promoter and has to step up and give his fighter what he deserves. Arum is doing it for his.
