Sugar should just call Floyd straight out and stop the Bullsh@@##.

He'll make more cash fighting Floyd in a fight that should've happened
a while ago (not counting the toothache).

Arum and Freddie ain't letting Manny anywheres near Floyd or Mosley right now.

and ppl wonder y i hate shane mosley....... no one wants to see a pac-mosley fight........ shane needs to just keep fighting while he waits, instead of just sitting around doing nothing...... there is plenty of fights he can take to prove hes the best (like he says he wants to do) and sitting around waiting for the smaller man is not proving anything......

oh, and what a hater! cotto beat you shane, so if pac were to choose btwn the 2 of you, y wouldnt he pick cotto?

i think shane wants a real blood and guts war that he can win before he hangs up the gloves.

i'm obviously a shane mosley fan- but am I wrong to say that it's possible nobody under 165 pounds can knock him out? i definitely don't think Pac can. Mosley isn't hating on Cotto as i'm sure their rematch will happen no matter what- but Shane knows he can make a war with Manny and doesn't run the same risk of getting hammer fisted to the mat. I think Manny has one punch ko power behind his speed that Cotto may find startling. Actually... shane too

Either way we're in for a good fight- but don't blame Mosley for stepping out and hollering at the top of his lungs to get the biggest fight possible first, he's the undisputed welterweight champion- it's also not his fault (or anybody elses) that Mayweather is such a picky little *****. Shane has fought a lot of honorable fights that made no sense for him to take. He's done enough gatekeeping and he's finally back into a position to demand more and he's doing it.

Shane is Manny's most dangerous/viable choice. you can't blame him for being desperate for the fight, and he obviously isn't hiding that fact at all.

I just hate to see Shane on the sidelines for a big fight when he has the least time left in the game. that right there is the heart of the issue for him and for me as a supporter.
A lot of what you say is fair, but:

          (a) The Welterweight title is vacant. Shane is the #1 contender but he needs to beat Cotto in order to be the champion.

          (b) While you can't blame him for calling out Manny, he ain't gonna get that fight this year and he needs to keep active. Clottey would be a great legacy fight for him, so would Berto, and so would Williams, and unlike Cotto and Pacquiao, all three are available for him to fight this year. It's not in his interests to sit on the sidelines and remain inactive, especially at his age.

That's why there is a question mark in many people's minds over the true greatness of those particular fighters (not in terms of ability, but true greatness is more than just ability).

Mosley needs to mellow out. A fight with Cotto would be more popular, and who gives a **** if Cotto had a close fight with Clottey. Clottey is a beast, and I'd say he'd have a good chance to beat Mosley. Besides, Cotto beat Mosley about two ****ing years ago anyway.

Good Response but i'll take Berto out of the ecuation as a fighter that will add to his legacy. Berto has fought nobody and is still rising but his not at a point that if Moskey beats him it would raised Mosley current standing.

                    Good post though!!

Sugar has called out Floyd several times and Floyd won't fight him.

and it won't happen during this year because Floyd has a contract to honor against JMM and that will probably be in Sept. due to the injury. Remember the fight PBF-JMM has been postponed not cancelled.
