      so unfair for cotto.

it should be at 147 so cotto can be 161-162.

***** move by pac and roach asking for a catchweight.
+1. obviously someone is going to be at a disadvantage no matter what. cotto the "p4p #1" can't move down 2-3 lbs or he'll be dehydrated. cause like odlh that moved down alot more weight happened to him. it happens to everyone. people make me sick. wasn't there a thread where everyone was saying people should fight at their fight night weight. well get that MW out the WW division.

        pulls this bull**** again?

when was the last time manny made anyone go down in weight?

oscar? for that kind of money , pacquiao would have fought him at 160.

        oscar decided EVERYTHING.

147 was chosen to make it seem more like a fair fight.

people were calling the fight a joke at 147. who would have bought it if it was at 154?

revisionist fans over here. just because pacquiao won , it was all pacquiao's plan to weight drain oscar...... bull****.

            Again.......

Too much emphasis on cotto being "weight drained."

After the oscar's destruction, everybody sounds like bill o rielly & act like they know everything about everything in terms of being weight drained. Kinda like when emmanuel steward unveiled the term "check Hook" after fraud jr's ko of hatton. Everybody started using it like they knew it all along.

Every freaking boxer is weight drained during fight weigh ins. Thats the point isnt it? to make weight? The weight drained card/excuse/cop out is used to so somehow explain what happend to oscar.

Its basically a dishonest assessment of the reason why Pacquiao won. They choose to ignore the fact that Pacquiao was better than oscar at that stage, & that in oscar's prime he had trouble with southpaws & gassed late notroiously.

Now its being used as a pre-emptive strike against a Pacquiao victory vs cotto. They will forget that cotto is 28 years old & will probably be fighting on fight night as a junior middle vs Pacquiao who will weigh in as a welter.

Never mind that Pacquiao is the greater fighter resume & skills wise, & that he just became a lineal 140 pound champ.

Never mind that cotto holds his defensive guard up like morales (both fists to the sides of his head instead of in front) & he has never learned how to block uppercuts or punches that come straight through (Pacquiao straight left).

"weight drained" = very trivial factor in deciding the outcome.

ps- if cotto only gains 1 pound like oscar did & manny actually outweighs cotto, i take everything i wrote back.

I'm new here but why does Emanuel Steward want to be in Cotto's corner? The guy said Pacquiao was one of his favourite fighters - now he wants to help train Cotto? Heh?

                people are ******.

oscar wasn't even weight drained in the pacquiao fight.

he was around 147 weeks before the fight.

oscar screwed up. had nothing to do with the weight class.

now everyone talks about weight drained in every fight now.

just like after the hatton-mayweather fight , every know nothing idiot kept bringing up check left hooks in every fight prediction.

Cotto is picking on smaller fighters....this is a sham of a fight. I can't believe this is happening. Pacman doesn't have a chance....yeah he is rated as the # 1 boxer, but that doesn't matter because cotto is so BIG!

                  This fight is a disgrace!

Thing I love about guys like cotto and pacquiao is they don't care who they fight. They don't duck anyone. Make the deal and they'll fight minus any bull****. As you get with some fighters (i.e. mayweather jnr)
