Pacquiao/Cotto Negotiations in Full Force, Deal Expected

I hope Manny Pacquiao and everybody else reads this including Floyd Mayweather.

I posted this in another thread... but here it is...

If it is so easy, then why isn't Manny fighting him at 147 for the Welterweight title?! He could be a 6 weight champion then. If legacy is important to him, he will fight Cotto at 147 lbs. for the Welterweight Title. And don't give me that size bull****. Floyd Mayweather said it best "Weight don't win fights, skills do".

Manny's fans & his trainer know Manny is not as good as they say he is.That's why they wanna drain someone before they fight.Cotto has some self esteem and Arum wants to see the fight so Cotto will not go down that much in weight.This will be easy to put on

Pac KO's Cotto. At the very least, makes all of the ones with doubt respect his boxing/fight game(meaning he wins on the cards).

Too much emphasis on cotto being "weight drained."

After the oscar's destruction, everybody sounds like bill o rielly & act like they know everything about everything in terms of being weight drained. Kinda like when emmanuel steward unveiled the term "check Hook" after fraud jr's ko of hatton. Everybody started using it like they knew it all along.

Every freaking boxer is weight drained during fight weigh ins. Thats the point isnt it? to make weight? The weight drained card/excuse/cop out is used to so somehow explain what happend to oscar.

Its basically a dishonest assessment of the reason why Pacquiao won. They choose to ignore the fact that Pacquiao was better than oscar at that stage, & that in oscar's prime he had trouble with southpaws & gassed late notroiously.

Now its being used as a pre-emptive strike against a Pacquiao victory vs cotto. They will forget that cotto is 28 years old & will probably be fighting on fight night as a junior middle vs Pacquiao who will weigh in as a welter.

Never mind that Pacquiao is the greater fighter resume & skills wise, & that he just became a lineal 140 pound champ.

Never mind that cotto holds his defensive guard up like morales (both fists to the sides of his head instead of in front) & he has never learned how to block uppercuts or punches that come straight through (Pacquiao straight left).

"weight drained" = very trivial factor in deciding the outcome.



ps- if cotto only gains 1 pound like oscar did & manny actually outweighs cotto, i take everything i wrote back.

this will be a great fight for boxing and manny will not pull that early sneaky **** on cotto like he did to dumbass hatton. cotto is a very smart fighter with class and heart. the question is will manny be able to take cotto's body shots?
