honestly. Pac is on another level compared to cotto. If cotto wins its simply because hes bigger and has more natural power. There is nothing about this fight that says it needs to happen other than arum trying to cash in on his two best fighters while they are at their peak. Basically after this for pac and cotto its nothing but VERY losable fights. This fight doesnt excite me even in the slightest. Ill be watching, but this isnt a fight that anyone cared to see and it will bring next to no clarity to a division that has been in disarray since Judah lost that title to baldomir.

        yeah i don't know.
not enough info there. i still think its a ploy by arum to get mayweather sweating on a pac/mayweather in sept.

          tickets

I think if this deal gets made its not gonna sell as many tickets as top rank thinks it will. i dont think a lot of puerto ricans will make it out to vegas.

          More PPV's than anything else.

If Manny makes it a war hes ****ed if he boxes hell have to deal with the Cotto jab. Cotto felt harder punches than what Manny has to offer. Cotto knows how to deal with speed as well. Miguel will back Manny up and tag his body and head. Manny is hittable, sometimes VERY hittable hes not the willie pep or sweat pea you people make him out to be.

It will be a total sell out where ever they fight, Las Vegas, Los Angeles or New York.

Cotto and Pacquiao have plenty of fans outside their country because of their stlye. This are true Warriors that always come to fight not to dnace in the ring and the hardcore boxing fan appreciate that.

It will be a good PPV sell also but not as much as Pacman-PBF

So what would be the diffrence if Cotto fights Pac now and then Shane after?

To think that Cotto would pass up an opportunity like this is kinda silly....

You have to capatilize on the chances your given in this brutal sport....If Cotto beats Pac(which is not a gimmie) He will hold all the bargaining chips and have boxers that he would other wise have to chase...coming directly to him and meeting his demands to fight.

Cotto stands to make a lot of money out of this fight....I know I'm not getting any of it so it shouldn't matter to me and it doesn't but...To not take into account the financial implications is silly...since the people that are actually getting punched in the face...care a lot about how much they get paid.

Cotto vs Pac is the obvious best move for Cotto...Financialy and Legacy wise...He may not get much credit for beating a little guy...But this fight will enable him to make bigger fights in the future with names that would elude him if he had not beat the p4p champ...and things happen on his terms money wise.

                      Smart move for Cotto.
                      very good rationale....
probably all boxers will grab the same opportunity.
cotto just be careful in catchweight. he's got only himself to blame if he comes weight drained.
that is why same day weigh-in and fyt is a better option for both combatants!
