I saw JC tonight at one of those 'evening with' things. He has no interest at all in coming back, for $10m or whatever, it just isn't going to happen.

According to the man himself he actually decided to give himself another year and two fights after the Kessler fight... and apparently his dad really had to kick his arse before the RJJ fight as he had just had enough by that point and wasn't even training as he should have been doing. After B-Hop he promised his kids he would quit after RJJ.. which everyone wanted him to do except possibly Calzaghe senior (he was a bit vague on that, so I guess dad wanted him to carry on for a while).

As to the previous history, he principally blamed Frank Warren for not getting him the fights in the US because he (Warren) simply thought Calzaghe would lose, and his earning potential drop to zero... apparently even the Kessler fight almost didn't happen for that reason. He pretty much arranged that fight himself, as well as B-Hop, before his contract with Warren officially expired.

First ive heard about that, Frank the little piece of **** he is complained a lot about the promotion of that fight, losing money being his main complaint! (but he also said he didnt care about the money and was happy to see Joe unify at his expense - bollocks!)

Calzaghe gets a UD over Dawson and Froch. A rematch with Hopkins can be hyped up, but i don't know why i would want to see it for a sceond time. Beating one of the younger faces in his division would (should) erase any doubts of the man

actually calzaghe ordered warren to make him fight bums like mario veit and so on. he refused to fight glen johnson on his hometurf. he didn't want anyone with a pulse in the same ring with him.

remember he was too scared to fly and come to the US lol! you can't just rewrite history. what really happened and what calzaghe says now are 2 entirely different things. he is a liar. it's too late. he wasted his career.

wow. fans of boxing calling Calzaghe a "joke". you must really love the sport.

Dawson is overrated by the way. He has another chance to sell himself against Johnson, but Johnson is a tougher than Tarver and it going to be another close one.
