Theres too many excuses on either side... Either Cotto will be drained or Pac will be too small...

Meanwhile we have two welterweight champions at the top of the division, with an extrmely close fight.. meanwhile Shane runs over the guy who ran over Cotto..

That fight has much more meaning to me... who is at the top of the division? WHo is the unified champ?

Not... who was weight drained or who was too small...
The reality is though, we're not going to have a unified champ, and to be honest...I don't think Mosley is gunning for a Cotto fight more than Cotto not wanting to fight him, because Mosley himself wanted a fight with Pacquiao too, so it goes both ways. Mosley knows Cotto is a big hurdle to climb to get a fight presumably against Floyd or Pacquiao.

I understand it should be a fair fight for both guys, but I don't think there'll be many excuses from both sides. I've been saying since December that Cotto was the best fight for Pacquiao at WW. I don't buy too much into the size difference when it comes to those two, but that's just me (and I believe Pacquiao will win even if Cotto makes 146)

IMO there will def be excuses.. especially if Cotto beats Pac... he will be just too big... and if Pac beats Cotto under 147... the weightdrain issue will come up... Im on this site way too much to not know that will happen..

And Mosley Cotto might not get us a UNIFIED champ.. but it will get us a recognized one... right now we have two guys evenly at the top, and they dont want to fight each other because they both want their money fight with pac.

Fight Cotto at his best or don't fight him.
No I took a lunch break. A man's got to eat, even if it's at 145.

IMO If manny cant fight welters at welter, then he shouldnt fight welters right now... and cotto mosley have unfinished business seeing as many things have changed since they first fought... both of them being champions now for starters..

Agreed 100% now. Weight classes are how you leave your legacy. catchweights leave too many unanswered questions.

Cotto said 145 is fine because he's making millions of dollars, and getting a chance to fight the #1 p4p fighter.

Just like JMM said 144 is fine.

Fine.... not ideal, not at his best.
