Couldnt disagree any further... Mosleys last two fights ended in knock out. His very last being against the number 1 fighter in the division.

On top of the fact that SINCE their last fight, Cotto has endured TWO WARS and one devastating loss.. where as Mosley has sustained one good win and one great win both by knockout.

Add on to the fact that they are both champions in the same weight class, which was not the case before.

And you have every reason in the world to wanna see these two do it again..

But Both Mayorga and Margarito have like no defense...Very easy targets to hit. Cotto had his problems with clottey...but Clottey has a very good defense. Those punches that Clottey were blocking would hit mosley. All I see Mosley doing is trying to slug and hold which I don't feel will work with Cotto.

No matter who you think would win.. is besides the point that there is every reason for this fight to take place again.

Many things have changed since they first fought. Cotto enduring two hard fought wars and Mosley coming up with two big wins.

On top of the fact their first fight was VERY close, and opposed to the first fight, they are BOTH WW champions now.. which would get us closer to a unified champion.

Thinking you already know the winner of the fight isn't reason enough to not make the fight.

Excellent post reed. I seem to remember this coming up when floyd and jmm were figuring out their catch weight.

However, now we are blaming manny for ww not being unified?

No no... all parties are at fault for this.. not just Manny... I said this at the end of my first post.

IMO If manny cant fight welters at welter, then he shouldnt fight welters right now... and cotto mosley have unfinished business seeing as many things have changed since they first fought... both of them being champions now for starters..

Isn't Mosley just looking for one big fight before retiring though? I highly doubt he would care about unifying. You know Berto is also a champion in the Welterweight Division. Then again should belts even matter?

Im sure Mosley would like both... he could have both with Cotto...

Berto IS a champion, but he doesnt bring the $$$$$, and even though he has a belt hes not recognized atop the division the way cotto/mosley are...

Although I would still like to see Cotto-Berto, Mosley-Berto

Cotto/Mosley gives us a recognized champion... are you just sitting in the background stalking my posts?

Fight Cotto at his best or don't fight him.
