Yet, on the other side of the argument a blown up fighter at a weight that he has never fought at is just as bad (no one fight in particular but it is almost the same thing- using weight to gain an advantage)

I think it's east 2 say cotto will be pacs hardest fight to this date, but PAC won't be cotto's hardest. Well that's my OP. I find marga & clottey harder challeges than PAC due to there size & phisical streagnth

I somehow agree & somehow disagree with this article...

Agree in the sense that Pacquiao's already an ATG & has the opportunity to be immortalized along side w/ the immortals once he beats Cotto as champion in his best weight of 147lbs...It's a matter of history in the making to overtake the record of Oscar as champion in 6 different division & the first to make it seven...A competitive loss of Pacquiao never degrades his greatness but rather gets the respect of the boxing world...One way or another, he will still remains as a P4P King simply because it's not his natural weight & everybody will praise his courageous act to take the risk of size advantage & fight the best there could be...

Disagree in the sense that today Pacquiao is the draw, why most of the people here including the respective writer of this article needs to put the weight load or blame to Pacquiao or his team of whatever weight issue arises or talked about...Remember Pacquiao is the smaller in size/built & it's a big risk ahead of him to consider fighting the best at 147 but i still believe a 50/50 chance...Since most of them (fighters) wants a piece of him as a sure mega money fight, he is the draw & in the position as P4P King to deny or to consider all the options being laid upon him...I respect & leave the decision to him(Pacquiao) whether he is in the right way to consider immortalization or still stay at his natural/comfortable weight or push for a catch weight or just wait for the right time to take the risk at 147 & be immortalize if he's successful...

Though a fight at any weight level is a sure mega fight & what fans really can't wait to see... I go for him to take the risk at 147, a competitive loss will rewards him respect, honor & money, a win rewards him all of the above & immortalization...

exactly. i dont understand why he would want an advantage just like salud said that it would be a walk in the park for pacman to fight cotto at catchweight. i thought boxing was about fighting the best at their best. what is so good about fighting someone weight drained. the sport is about the challenge.

These guys are smokin some good sh***!!! They want 70/30 split, want it to be at a catchweight, and on top of that they want it be for Cotto's WBO Welterweight Strap.......WOW.

But I just read on a PR newspaper that Cotto said in an interview while getting stiched up after the fight that HE WON'T FIGHT PACMAN BELOW 147. He said they are other fighters out there....

disagree because pac is the draw? wasnt it pac that called out cotto and asked arum TO make the cotto fight? so because pac is the draw everyone has to handicap themselves to the benefit of pac ? thats just ****** and i gaurantee you if pac beats a weightdrained welterweight, youll be parading on and on as if he earned it the HONEST AND STRAIGHT UP WAY.chicken**** tactics straight up ***** moves, and pac doesnt have the BALLS TO FACE MOSLEY, THAT MUCH IS CLEAR COTTO ISNT BETTER THAN MOSLEY, HOW ABOUT FIGHTING A LEGIT THREAT PAC HUH? CHICKEN**** PAC.

Great Article!! If pac doesnt fight at 147 no belt at stake!!! PAC using these cowardly tactics will start a new trend in boxing and ruin the sport! I sd it B4 PAC will never fight a legit WW" PAC 2.0 is the new version of mayweather 1.0
