Dela Hoya had been out of the ring for a while but look how impressively he fought against Mayorga and Floyd. Oscar gave Floyd a very close fight and some haters even thought it was close enough to make a case that he lost the fight.

Dela Hoya fought the best fight he could fight against Mayweather but he came up short even with the extra weight. Mayweather did not beat a prime Oscar but by no means was Oscar shot, he was still an excellent fighter.

The Oscar that fought so well against Mayweather would of given most guys at 154 a good fight.
Glad to see you're not comparing his win over Oscar to Pac's.

That said, the win isn't underrated at all. It is what it is - no great shakes. Oscar beating Mayorga proves nothing; every fighter uses Mayorga to come back and beat up on. The fact is, Oscar hadn't had a decent win in over five years and only his name kept people believing he was still a top junior middle. He wasn't, plain and simple.

Sounds like that was more DLH's bad, not Manny's. He even stated that he mismanaged his weight before the fight. With his experience, team and resources DLH should not have been in such poor condition for his fight.

Steven Hawking had better head-movement than a prime Oscar.
He lost all his biggest fights?

        Chavez - won
        Sweetpea - Won
        Camacho - Won
        Chavez 2 - Won
        Quartey - Won
Tito - He won, i wouldn't insult either fighter by posting Oscar lost this fight
        Mosley - Lost
        Gatti - Won
        Vargas - Won
Mosley 2 - Most feel he won
        Hopkins - Lost

The only 2 legit loses are Mosley 1 and Hopkins, saying Oscar lost all his big fights is just ******ed.

Saying Oscar was a one handed fighter when he has so many KO's with his right hand is equally ******ed. His right hand was obviously improved under Mayweather Sr but saying he was a one-handed fighter? Come on now

Both pbf get smashed by 147 Oscar, he beat better fighters than them around the weight. (Manny would have the best chance of beating him)

Almost every Oscar fight is a "big fight" - doesn't mean it was a big win. Some of those fights you listed are laughable.

I get your point but its legit bringing them up here when people are talking up Mayweathers win over a past his best Oscar.

Your welcome for pointing out that a fighter's health is their own responsibility, not their opponents.

THank you for pointing out that regardless of whose fault it is, it wasn't the same Oscar.

I don't argue that but to say PBF's win was some pinnacle of achievement is laughable.

Did PBF fight the same DLH as Mosley?

an underrated win is sumthin like raheem against morales...

                      prescott against khan...

                      quintana vs williams...

victories in the eyes of many shouldnt have happened but it did...

& somehow the winner gets little hype about it...

PBF vs ODLH wasnt one of them...
